Thanks to all for the supportive comments. Sorry for getting so personal but these issues tend to stir up the most personal thoughts and feelings in ones psyche. For the record I would feel this way about anyone in this situation, man or woman, thick or thin, black or white, famous or homeless. Agreed that verbal attacks on anyone's life is wrong, "the pen is mightier than the sword" indeed, perhaps the violence I've experienced could rear it's ugly head if I saw Chris Brown. Anyhow, this is plain wrong and I wouldn't feel right not voicing my disgust. I truly believe that a heated debate is one of the spices of life, then again I'm in law so it's the nature of my career. Thanks again for all the positive feedback. Tomorrow we can all go back to posting funny ass comments about douchebag celebrities doing douchebag thing but tonight was serious and heated not only for Rihanna but for any and all who have been damaged by such unthinkable traumas. Goodnight all, let's all say a prayer for humanity, looks like we need all the help we can get.

I'm not reading back through all these posts. Does anyone/has anyone reported what actually happened? I'm suprised someone hasn't gotten a hold of the police report as they are usually public record. Did he full on punch her to the face? Or did he knock her down against something? I don't know how long after the fight the picture was taken, but it looks like bruises are coming up around her eyes? What the hell were they fighting about?

Zac, I commend you on your attitude. I had an abusive older brother myself who hit me like he was fighting another man.

I'm not excusing Chris Brown but it comes from somewhere. People make bad decisions. I'm not trying to trivialize this shit but there are people, men and women both, who have poor coping skills. Obviously Chris Brown is one of them. I could go on about this stuff, I used to sit in as an aide in an anger management class, there's some fucked up men out here. But what surprised me more was the behavior of a lot of the women in those relationships. Truly surprised.

I really in reality hate the idea of an eye for an eye until I hear a specific situation like this. right now if i saw chris brown and I had a gun I would shoot him. But I don't have a gun, and I probably will never see this mofo so...but I have stayed in the same hotel as him actually. When I was staying in Atlanta at the westin, when i was too sick to drive home (it's only an hour), there were girls waiting to see him because they had backstage passes or whatever and i heard it was Chris brown, the 16 yo which was wrong,i think he was 16 when he got famous so he must have been like 18 then but anyway...I hope I don't run into him anytime soon. Well, I never saw him but....I heard all over the hotel that the asshole was there.

To all of those giving that waist of oxygen known as Chris Brown an iota of sympathy, here's something to chew on. I watched my father beat my mother from some of my first memories until I was 18 years-old. He broke her nose multiple times, shattered her ribs, blacked her eyes and even broke her neck. My brother and I were punished for even the most minor and regular childish mistakes by being taken out to the backyard, lined up and shot with a blowdart gun. At 15, I finally lashed out and tried defending myself and I ended up in the ICU for three days. Should my mom have left him? Fuck yes. Would he have killed us if we did? Absolutely. Anyway, I have been punched in the face by my ex-girlfriend and you know what I did? I ran the fuck away from her. I have never hit anyone, ever and I have no intentions on doing so. I feel like an idiot for putting this shit on a public forum as it's not something I enjoy thinking about nor am I proud of, however, I wanted to put it out there to debunk these asanine posters that say "it's what he learned". Guess what people, in the end, it's your decision on how you react and trust me, if I could go through what I did and not so much as get in a drunken bar brawl with another guy, I find it hard to believe that he was just being a product of his environment. It's called accountability people, that mother fucker doesn't have an excuse in the world. I hope this haunts his dispicable ass until the day he arrives at the pearly gates - of Hell.

I was just reading the story today on CNN about the Iranian woman who was blinded by some guy who threw acid on her. The Iranian court has upheld her choice to blind him by dropping acid in his eyes.
