Mariska Hargitay's Lung Collapsed!
Mariska Hargitay, the girl crush of a many (I get emails), wasn't at the Golden Globes on Sunday and that's because she was laid up in a hospital after her lung conked out all dramatic-like. TMZ says that Mariska's lung half-collapsed late last month. It happened again while she was on vacation this past weekend.
Mariska's person who speaks words for her told Access Hollywood, “Mariska Hargitay has been sidelined with a pneumothorax. Despite the injury she will appear in all episodes for the rest of the season of ‘Law &Order: SVU.’”
Pneumothorax can go down because of a chest injury or shit like that, but it also has been known to happen spontaneously. Yes, this worries me too. Imagine if you're with a group of bitches and you are about to take a hit from a full bong and then boom! Your lung fails on you. FUCK! There's a full bong sitting there, teasing you and your lung decides to lay down. You know those stoner bitches wouldn't wait for you. They would finish the bong right then and there. Ugh.
In all seriousness, here's to a speeeeedy recovery for Mariska. Hopefully she eats the hospital jello and watches a lot of daytime court shows. A lot of them. Court shows just make everything better.

I came down with pneumonia a couple of weeks before Christmas, and am just now getting over it. And yeah, the suckiest part, no GREEN Christmas!!! Like DeeDee, I take my toking seriously! I represent Texas at the Smoker's Olymipics!!! And everyone knows we do it big.

Awwww thanks sweetie!! I'm actually doing much better these days. I also developed some weird chemical sensitivity from it! Sure, colds still turn into pneumonia which has been the plague of my life for the last two months, but I'm doing very well. The suck part is, I also have a sinus infection and my body is eating up the augmentin I was prescribed. :P Lupus is no fun.

I had a lung collapse on me due to a horrible reaction to sulfa drugs. I kept taking them, thinking all the pain I was going through was due to the illness I had. One morning I woke up unable to breathe and was covered head to toe in blister-like welts. It messed up my immune system and gave me medication-indused Lupus. Horrible, horrible thing to happen. My Mom made plenty of complaints to the clinic, and funny thing, less than two weeks later, the internist who treated me was no longer there.
I think she is an under-rated talent, and probably the most beautiful woman on TV.

I knew a college kid on an extended Europeen vacay to whom this happened. I figured he was toking or something but his family insists not (like they'd know). He was in the hospital a few days, then flew home.

Oh it is scary as shit to be around someone this happens to. At 18 I had it happen to my boyfriend in the middle of having sex. I was just sure he was having a heart attack. Only good thing about it is I can now officially and forever say I fucked a man into the hospital.
