haha Faye & Hagel
I actually found that funny. SNL was in the shitter for a while.
Doogie is awesome
Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love SNL. I'm not one of those people who thinks SNL is never as good as it used to be- I hate that crap. I think they have a lot of talented people on there. I think the new people like Michaela Watkins (its hard to make a Hoda Kotb impression funny), Bobby Moynihan (his Snagglepuss impression was awesome), and Casey Wilson (love the Cougars sketch) have a ton of talent. I also think Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig rock just as hard as the most famous people to come out of SNL.
I'm just still stumped as to why Abby Elliot was put on the show, unless Lorne Michaels has a boner for legacies or something. I mean look her up. There is literally nothing to know about her. She's 21 and she hasn't done anything yet except doing a voice on King of the Hill. Usually Lorne won't take a look at you unless you've done your time in the Groundlings, Second City, or Upright Citizens Brigade.

Fantasia came into a lot of money quickly. So like an idiot she blew it on a ridiculously extravagant, expensive house she couldn't possibly afford long term.
Buying a more modest home would be ridiculous! Blow it all, stupid!
OH MY GOD!!! That Doogie orchestra was fooking hilarious!
Kudos for creativity!~

I don't know about that. Chris Elliot barely did anything on SNL. He was basically there to fill in the background.
That orchestra sketch was the most creative thing I've seen from SNL in a long time. I love SNL and will defend it no matter how many people say it's crap. When Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon were on it was, "Oh, it's not as funny as when Chris Farley and Mike Meyers were on". Then when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were on it was "Oh, it's not as funny as when Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon were on." Now it's "It's not as funny as when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were on." Even crappy sketches somehow catch on (like the "Schwety Balls" bit) and others that are smarter never do (like Adam McKay's digital shorts). People are fickle.
SNL was better than it has been in a while last week, but I attribute that solely to the presence of the amazing Neil Patrick Harris. The man can do anything, he's a freakin' genius.
I told the b/f I thought there'd be lots of Broadway/musical references!

That Broadway SNL skit still cracks me up every time. I've watched that thing like three times. First time since she's been on the show, that Abby Elliot has actually been funny.
I didn't realize her dad, Cabin Boy Chris Elliot had enough industry pull to make nepotism happen for her.
We like that you all dismiss Gerry! More Gerry for us!

That was the only funny skit. Don't forget the tomato! The one with Neil in drag as the long nailed air traffic controller was kind of funny, but just ended awkwardly, (like many SNL skeyches).

Only half-funny thing on the last SNL was the broadway sketch. Was Hairspray or Grease in that? can't remember.
The Doogie sketch was amusing until the appearance of Andy Samberg and Fred Armisen, they try the fucking too much of late (these two geniuses wrote the failure sketch of "two first names").
I loved Tony Shalhoub in Men In Black.
SNL sucked this weekend. That Rachel Maddow skit was more Drew Barrymore than anything. Now everytime I see Drew I think Rachel.

No, I didn't get that snuggie for christmas.
I didn't see all the SNL but this piece was cute.

Gerard Butler can be my manwhore. I'll just soak him in a vat of Janitor in a Drum first to get the skank goo off him.

Ok, now I don't know whose beard I want to be more: Michael K or Doogie.
I'm so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to disagree with SOW re: the SNL Broadway skit. Liza Minelli in the Penelope skit was fucking hilarious! That skit was excellent...I mean, I"m not a huge Kristin Wiig fan, I think she's totally one-note, but it was prettttty funny.
