Actually - it was a KIDNEY transplant, not liver...you can't live without a liver. He had two kidney transplants, but neither were successful. Not good.

I also remember the Nancy Drew show.... great show, but nothing like the books. Have you ever seen the old Nancy Drew movies on TCM? Also great, totally different from the books, but very funny. For some reason they change Ned's name to Ted. Also I don't remember seeing Beth or George. Really nothing like the books but very good. Starred Bonita Granville as Nancy.

lizzieb - must concur. This person's only claim to fame that I am aware of is that he is a dead ringer for Chastity Bono. Will Sampson looks just like her too but he is more known for being a talented comedian.
