2009 Already Sucks!
Time Warner Cable has beat me down and cut me up so many times before, but like a dumb bitch I never quit them and now it's going to eff me in the ass. I start going into minor convulsions when my cable goes out, so I'm afraid for my own safety come tomorrow. That's because 19 channels will go dark starting at 12:01am on January 1st for Time Warner Cable and Bright House customers.
It all has to do with Time Warner Cable and Viacom acting like two stupid ass skanks! Those evil bitches are fighting over money, of course. Time Warner says Viacom wants to charge more for use of their whores including: MTV, MTV 2, MTV Hits, MTV James, MTV Tr3s, Comedy Central, CMT, Pure Country, Logo, Palladia, Nickelodeon, Noggin, Nick 2, Nicktoons, Spike, The N, TV Land, Vh1, Vh1 Classic and Vh1 Soul. Time Warner Cable doesn't want to pay, because they will have to charge their subscribers more if they agree to it.
No Colbert! No Double Shot At Hep! No Three's Company reruns! No MTV True Life! No Charm School reunion show! None of that! I might as well move to Tibet to become a monk, because I'm fucked. TV and booze are the only two friends I can count on in this world to keep me from flushing myself down the toilet. How will I go on without 19 less channels to choose from? Hmmm. Maybe I can make my dog wear a tin foil hat, run a cord from his ass to my TV and have him stand outside on the window ledge. I would probably get better service too compared to Time Worthless Cable! Don't worry, I'll pay him with freshly baked cat cookies and air kisses. I'd give him real kisses, but I'm afraid of heights.
Viacom created a little PSA above asking whores to complain to Time Warner, because if they don't come up with a solution soon, cable TV will die tomorrow.
But why should we have to call and complain? These idiots need to settle it themselves! Shoot each other! Shank each other! Fist each other! Cage wrestle each other! I don't give a fuck as long as I have my Vh1 tomorrow morning.

I really fucking hate Time Warner. They NFL wanted to provide the NFL Network for like .33 per person....but TWC said no....they will only take it if they can package it with a bunch of shitty sports channels, and sell it as a premium package for like $10. It's bullshit.
And it sucks for them too, because loses Viacom could KILL them with Fios becoming so readily available (which is an equally shitty option, because Verizon is the worst company in the entire country to deal with, bar none.)

Sometimes MTV makes decent documentaries, minus the one about BritBrit. I like to catch those when I can, but I have no tv, so I don't even know if they show them anymore.

This happened to me with my local cable company a few years back. Except they didn't want to pay for fucking NBC! And this was during my "Medium" addiction. I was livid! All they wanted to charge per customer was .33 cents. The cable company wouldn't budge. So I was without NBC for 6 damn months. I hate cable.
I would switch to direct tv, but I HATE those dishes people have on their houses. Eye sore to me. I know it's dumb.

I dumped cable years ago and have directTV. It's cheaper and I get more channels. It has horoscopes and all kinds of fun stuff. Just switch to directTV.

My son explained that since pirate bay, or whatever was in sweden, so it wasn't governed by usa law. I said, yes, those fuckers in sweden are protected, but when YOU get the file its not in sweden anymore and we can get nailed. I also criticized him for downloading such a shitty movie.
His punishment was to spend a year using an old g4 mac rather than his gaming computer.

Thank you, lizardbits1. I've only seen about 3 scenes/bits per episode on the show pages, but next week, that might change. I can live without these channels as long as they fix this shit before Mon 11pm. And if TW does raise my rates over this, yeah, i think I'm aewriously gonna quit that bitch - except in my small town, they are totes the best internet provider...

Comcast is SO bad, I started documenting everything - the names of people I spoke to and the locations of the call centers, times and dates. After I had compiled one month's worth of mess while trying to resolve ONE issue, I wrote a mass letter (snail mail even!) to all of the top Comcast officials in Philly. It was 3 pages long. You better believe I got a response after that! I got calls from supervisors all falling over themselves to help me. I ended up with 6 months of FREE cable, oh yes I did. Now that I have to pay again, the service is back to sucking. And I expected nothing less. Only now the fun has been multiplied because I got the big bundle which includes the internets. Three services for the aggravation of MANY!
Comcrap may have the worst customer service, and their internet pisses me off at times...but hooray for not being involved in this mess! Hooray for being able to see the Charm School Reunion!
Now if it would only stop snowing.

I still don't get why everyone's all bitchy about Time Warner and not bitchy about Viacom. Mtv is total shit these days and that's their lead network. Yet, they think they can demand this increase in this economy for their (mostly) shit products? I'm kinda glad TW is fighting it... although i wonder what the deal is for other providers - lke what are the dish companies doing? Did Mtv Networks make the same rate demands on them? How is that increase being passed on to their customers?
TW fouhgt the Big Ten Network hardcore (which was a big deal here in heart of Buckeye/Wolverine country). They finally settled it and we got the channels, but man, it took half the season. That would mean no Colbert.Daily show during the inaugeration, sor sure. :(

THIS IS NOT OK!!!! I was watching Dangerous Minds on MTV last night (don't judge) when I saw some text scroll across the bottom telling me to call in and complain because 19 channels were disappearing. I thought for sure it was a joke or prank of some sort. This is just not acceptable. I will not and cannot survive without all the trash on MTV and vh1. I MEAN, WHAT???? How is this happening?? Reality trash makes me happy. I have 2 DVRs so I can catch all the shows I have to watch. This is just unbelievable, I can't even wrap my mind around it.

I had dish network some years ago, and it was pretty good. At one point, I located the least expensive installer to get the dish.
Turns out its a kid who shows up 4 hours late--he couldn't call as he had lost my phone number in his messy trunk, and then tries to leave before its done due to his cell phone sales job schedule. I browbeat him into finishing the job, and when he was done, he hinted that giving him a tip would be appropriate.
I was especially impressed that he grounded the satellite by wrapping the ground wire a couple of times around the natural gas pipe leading to my house. So, if there is a lightening strike, it will be sure to explode my natgas and burn down the house. I couldn't talk him out of it, so after he left, I sunk a grounding rod and ran the wire to it.
I admire entrepreneurial effort, but dude didn't quite have a handle on his fledgling business.
Oh we have Comcast. We're safe.
