2009 Already Sucks!
Time Warner Cable has beat me down and cut me up so many times before, but like a dumb bitch I never quit them and now it's going to eff me in the ass. I start going into minor convulsions when my cable goes out, so I'm afraid for my own safety come tomorrow. That's because 19 channels will go dark starting at 12:01am on January 1st for Time Warner Cable and Bright House customers.
It all has to do with Time Warner Cable and Viacom acting like two stupid ass skanks! Those evil bitches are fighting over money, of course. Time Warner says Viacom wants to charge more for use of their whores including: MTV, MTV 2, MTV Hits, MTV James, MTV Tr3s, Comedy Central, CMT, Pure Country, Logo, Palladia, Nickelodeon, Noggin, Nick 2, Nicktoons, Spike, The N, TV Land, Vh1, Vh1 Classic and Vh1 Soul. Time Warner Cable doesn't want to pay, because they will have to charge their subscribers more if they agree to it.
No Colbert! No Double Shot At Hep! No Three's Company reruns! No MTV True Life! No Charm School reunion show! None of that! I might as well move to Tibet to become a monk, because I'm fucked. TV and booze are the only two friends I can count on in this world to keep me from flushing myself down the toilet. How will I go on without 19 less channels to choose from? Hmmm. Maybe I can make my dog wear a tin foil hat, run a cord from his ass to my TV and have him stand outside on the window ledge. I would probably get better service too compared to Time Worthless Cable! Don't worry, I'll pay him with freshly baked cat cookies and air kisses. I'd give him real kisses, but I'm afraid of heights.
Viacom created a little PSA above asking whores to complain to Time Warner, because if they don't come up with a solution soon, cable TV will die tomorrow.
But why should we have to call and complain? These idiots need to settle it themselves! Shoot each other! Shank each other! Fist each other! Cage wrestle each other! I don't give a fuck as long as I have my Vh1 tomorrow morning.

Homework on Christmas break? That's just messed up. I can't imagine having to have a child at 7 do homework while off school for 2 weeks. If these channels do go out, at least my daughter has a new game to keep her occupied.
Yea my brother said the Mayan calender or one of those Indian calendars ends at 2012 and I haven't even gotten an HDTv yet!

LOL! I thought the same thing when I heard the world might end in 2012. I was like, cool I might as well keep drinking and partying right until the end! No reason to quit so I can get knocked up and do the responsible person thing, right? That's too funny. Glad I am not the only one who had that thought go quickly through my head. I thought most people would be bummed about it, I was like, let's partay!
Man, I'm sorry for you guys. It's like New Years day two years ago when Comcast sabotaged us and the cable went out for the entire day inthe whole fucking city of Miami! I expect the same thing Time Warner is doing, Comcast will do but with HBO or some other important shit like that. To not see Real Chance Of Love and Charm School Rock of Love is fucking evil.
Where I live which is an associated community, we can't even put up a Direct TV dish on our houses. Its in the fine print on the contract. Apparently, when they built this community in the early 90's they signed a 100 year ,sell your soul to the devil contract with Comcast which we pay for with our association dues. This allows s to get 'free' basic (not extended) cable and we cannot have a dish hanging off the side of our houses or they'll take us to court.
I've heard about Time Warner doing this before years ago with Dish Network or Direct Tv and all I can say is sorry. But the way Comcast works, all I can say is we're next.

Viacom tried this shit with Dish a couple years back, too. We had blanked out channels for a few days while they "worked it out". Of course, our bills have gone up since then for the crappy channels we DON'T want.

My daughter is watching Nick as we speak and I saw that fucking message at the bottom about the channels. I'm so pissed off that I can't even tell you. I am on live support online and I started off as 48 in line. At least half an hour later I'm 43. Oh joy of joys! Those mother fuckers aren't just messing with me but my daughter. Do they have to deal with a pissed off 7 year old who can't watch Nick? No!
This is worse than the Y2K scare. MK should have a candlelight vigil post at midnight.

I have AT&T Uverse. Anyone else have that? I don't really have any complaints. the internet has been crappy lately, but I think it's my stupid laptop. The "uverse tv" (fancy term for cable, I guess it is fiberoptic and better) is good. I can record 4 channels at once, but only 2 in HD. I guess the only complaint I have is that I would like more channels. But I don't watch TV that much anyway.
I don't have the money to fork over for connection charges, etc if I switch. Plus, TW gives you over 2 months w/out paying before a disconnect. What kind of grace period does driect tv or dish network have?

I live in Florida, and we used to have DirecTV....when the hurricanes blew through here in 2004 (I think that was the year), we never lost our signal. It didn't even get fuzzy. We had a clear picture until we lost power.
I wouldn't have a problem going back to them if they didn't require a contract. However, it's becoming more and more likely that will happen.

Fios su-u-u-u-cks. Verizon has the WORST customer service in the world. When I was trying to cancel my phone service, they transferred me at least 5 times each call, and then left me on hold twice for over an hour....then I finally called and said I was going to jail and didn't need the service anymore, and the first person I talked to cancelled it with no problem.
And my parents just cancelled their Fios because the morons couldn't get the system running right in over a month, spending hours dealing with customer service....called to cancel, and the woman was able to fix the issue within 45 minutes. They still cancelled.
If I cancel cable, I'm definately going satellite. It's the lesser of three evils.
Omg, I can't imagine living without Mtv's "True Life". That show owns.

This is almost ruining my vacation in Puerto Rico. Ok, maybe not, but I come back to dark NY tomorrow and I do not know what I will do without the hos in VH1.... and no Comedy Central.
And for those who are blaming Viacom, yes Viacom are some greedy assholes, but Time Warner Cable makes lots of money from me and they do not need to pass the increase to the consumer -- just take a bit of a hit. Greedy assholes all of them.

The bigger eye sore is all the freaking cable that is run all over the place. Comcast installers do a horible job and now all the wires in the sky downtown are such an ugly mess. Probably dangerous too. It makes me want to go and slash them all! they are constantly having to go and reconnect because the wires start to sag and then it gets snagged on the garbage truck or something.
