I honestly don't think it's very healthy to be fanatic of a president because those people might not care what he does and give him a pass if he does anything wrong. We need to be supportive and critical at the same time, no matter what party you are in.

Meh. It's true that "He seems like a great guy to hang out with" is a lame criterion when deciding who to vote for, regardless of their political party, but I'm really more annoyed by Time by choosing him as Person of the Year than any of those comments. Talk about the easiest and lamest choice.

Yeah, I voted for him...but I have to wonder how his rabid fans will react when he inevitably becomes just an average, middling president instead of the Great Messiah they all seem to expect. He's only one man, people, however good his intentions...

The point is, most of the people working them are not pulling down crazy money by any means, and simply don't care enough to really pay all that much attention to cutting corners. I speak from experience - the non-profit I work at spends more on Starbucks every month than some of our programs.

Like I said, donate your money to hospitals and shelters directly instead of funneling them through national organizations...which often exist only to bankroll do-gooders who don't really want to get 'real' jobs.
