It's Just Not The Same
So....Lily Allen has done a classy cover of Brit Brit's "Woomanizah," because covering sugary pop songs in a moody way makes you look like a true artiste who can make any old song sound like a musical masterpiece. Or something like that. Don't get me wrong, Lily's voice is a millions Frapps better than Brit's computerized Wall-E warble, but it's "Woomanizah" not "Womanizer." Lily's saying it all wrong. "Womanizer" doesn't bring up images of Brit Brit chasing Chester Cheetah around with a broken off tree branch.
Hopefully, Lily's cover is one of the last we'll ever hear again, because this song is still taking up precious rental space in my head. (UPDATE: And here's LadyHawke's version..... Make it stop! She sounds like she's running a fucking marathon barefoot while singing this shit.)
This song needs to be wheeled away to Shady Pines where it will spend the afternoons playing shuffleboard and spend its nights participating in coke-fuelled orgies (they totally do that shit in retirement homes).
Okay, I just listened to Lily's version again and I....might....like....it. No!!! That song needs to be gone from mah head!

Lily Allan is a chubby girl, but she never pretended to be otherwise, she isn't a manufactured pop tart. Britney under all her make up is also a stubby ugly little troll, she just has amazing handlers. I am not a fan of Lily's music but she is still way better than Fugney Spears. Fugney is the most over-rated, untalented person in the history of music. I hate her nasal voice and her songs suck.
I don't know how anyone can listen to her music, it's garbage just like her. Always was. Toxic and Oop I Did It Again are also terrible songs that make my ears bleed.

I'm guessing Brit has a conditon known as "cradle cap"...usually newborn babies only suffer the condition early on but 'beat' the condition once their immune systems kick in. "Head cheese" aka "scalp fungus" is a condition also known as 'Dandruff'...basically your body sluffs off yeast cells but if your body is systemically overrun with yeast and/or you are pummelling your immune system with toxic chemicals [bleach/straighteners/weave glue et al], you end up with a plethora of immune disorders. ONE of them being that scabs don't heal, your blood doesn't clot right, you bruise way too easily etc. etc. etc. *sigh* If I were Brit's mom I'd venture on the crazy if that's what it took to save my baby.
