Has the female torso changed in the last 50/60 years or is it just me?
I look @ vintage pics from 20 years ago and older and it looks a sthough the hips are much wider and the waist thinner (hourglass) now the hips are narrow and the torso seems longer.. is it just me?

I agree with you! I think people were confident with their shapes back then, and they actually ate, but weren't obsessed with it like we are now.

gyeah - being 85 doesn't necessarily mean you're one foot in the grave. My Granddad died 18 months ago at the age of 88 and apart from one small-medium medical issue was fighting fit, robust and as mentally alert as he had been all his life. He was entirely up on modern culture - he had a laptop, digital camera, the works. Talking to him was like talking to a man half his age and we thought he would live until well into his 90's. Don't knock old age till you've tried it - my Granddad and his sister who is still with us were both fighting fit and sharp as a tack in their 80's. I want to live forever!
