The immediacy of our time and culture does not allow Amy's life to take on the same veneer of depth of a proper greek tragedy but this human drama takes my breath away. Not that there aren't more worthy themes and subjects for tragic opera, there surely are. Still...
I believe Blake believes that he is going to stay away from Amy for her own good. Maybe they both need ECT- simultaneous shock therapy so they can forget about each other. Thus saving their lives, way boring.
Will Amy struggle to recover, finally gaining her feet and then, many years from now while accepting a Lifetime Achievement Award (or british equivalent), credit this moment (and Blake never seeing her again) with her ultimate triumph and successful recovery?

Ah, that was it! TLC used to run so many mefmouf or mef ruined my life shows a couple years ago that I get them all mixed up. There was indeed one show just for the mefmouf and a bunch of others about rehab centers and such.

And, Hekki, damn right I flossed that night too, hah!

The one story that made me really sad - and angry too - was that one with the Welsh brother and sister.

On one hand, I wanted to slap her and tell her to get it together and get her teeth fixed. On the other, I could see the mental anguish she was going through ><

I hope she eventually got around to fixing her mouth.

I have terrible teeth. Some of it has to be inherited. it can't all be diet and hygiene.

I can't tell you how much time i've spent in dentist chairs. Good part is I'm able to discern the good ones very quickly now.

Had a nieghbour - old world italian man. never went to a doctor or dentist. All his teeth fell out except one. abscesses, swellings - oh man the pain he must have gone through.

Yes! It was on TLC! I could be wrong, but I think it was one of those back to back episodes where the first one was about mef mouf and the different theories of what causes it, showing the patients, and showing that most of them gonna lose they teef. Then the second show that immediately followed it showed a dentist that specialized in mef mouf (among other conditions of course), and doing what could be done to restore mef heads' oral health...I really only remember the first part cuz I'd never seen mef mouf (or anything like it really). That shit is NAST! That's the part that's imprinted into my brain!

On the teeth issues: there's loads of people w/ bad teeth in England, but the same can be said here, when you venture into certain states in America too... just saying it's not a problem only the Brits have.

Not long ago, dh and I were watching this beeb doc about people with horrible teef - in fact, I think the title was 'I have horrible teeth' - and man, that was a good reminder of taking care of my teeth for sure. I think that's a better way to make the population get better teeth than putting fluoride in their water.

Then again, I watched Dr. Strangelove too many times and am always weary of this conspiracy to poison our precious bodily fluids! So I'd rather be scared into brushing my teeth often than drinking water w/ fluorite.

It's a well proven fact that injesting fluoride when teeth are forming significantly reduces tooth decay. Most other countries eg America have fluoride in the water.

Then how come so many American's have their teeth whitened and capped?

Whilst other American's without health insurance have massive tooth decay and need their teeth pulled?

Personally I find shiny, glow in the dark teeth as scary as hell!
