We have seen various high-profile couples (Duchovny/Leoni, for instance) wait (usually for their children's sake)until after a "scandal" breaks to release a public statement about the recent end of their marriage. That seems to be what happened in this case.
What I see here is just another anti-Sienna pile-on by prejudiced onlookers who could not care less about the facts.
Also, this would not be the first time that a spouse kept the marriage legal as long as possible just to spite the other person and keep them from moving on.

I think Sienna suffers from spoilt-pretty-child-syndrome. Daddy is rich and always given her everything she wanted. She was always the prettiest girl in her class and was used to all the boys liking her the most.
