Saw Angelina on a doc the other night about world peace day and gained some respect for her as it was basically her endorsement of the day and willingness to support it which got the whole campaign off the ground and recognition in the media. She knows that these campaigns/charities etc are dependent on famous people giving them publicity so I figured her heart was in the right place with the things she does for the UN etc. Then I hear more nonsense about her wanting to adopt kids to raise awareness of issues in particular countries and my disdain for her is refreshed. These are children - PEOPLE - not publicity tools. They've already been given up by one set of parents and are likely to bear complex emotional issues as a result. They need exceptional parents to ensure they grow up feeling secure, loved and not completely damaged by their start in life. To mix up the extremely delicate and difficult process of adopting a child, especially into a different culture, with "raising awareness" of the problems in their country of origin is both ludicrous and frightening in terms of how well the parents seem to understand the needs of their adopted children. I don't understand why they're allowed to continually adopt without anyone assessing their fitness as parents or the suitability of their home environment. It wouldn't happen in the western world so why is it ok when the kids are from developing countries? Do governments just figure any home for a child from them developing world is better than none? Or is it just not our problem?
CthHoff, I'm in the same boat, minus a child. Young, w/ spouse, have a house.. But its hard to drive back and forth to work to make $ for that house payment, when I can't afford the gas, or the gas stations are out of gas! And I go into the store, and people have bought almost all the food, b/c they have freaked the fuck out!! It gives me hives on my boobs.. Wanna see? *unbuttons shirt* See I told you!!

Under the program, homeowners who contact the KHPC through the Web site at www.ProtectMyKYHome.org or through the toll-free number at (866) 830-7868 will be referred to a counseling agency serving their area. The counselors will provide free assistance to homeowners who are in default or in danger of defaulting on their mortgages. Counselors will be available to help homeowners understand the foreclosure process; address the root cause of default; locate available resources to help address their needs; provide financial management guidance; determine options for preventing foreclosure; help homeowners avoid predatory lending practices; and help find alternative housing solutions if foreclosure is unavoidable.
• Beginning Jan. 1, 2009, or before, all lenders shall provide homeowners with a notification document (which can be downloaded from the website) at the time of closing on any loan that has a mortgage on their home associated with it. A copy of the signed notice should be retained with the loan file. Here is a link to the disclosure.
There is likely something similar in your state. I'd advise checking sooner rather than later. If for no other reason, for your peace of mind.

Exactly Okie. The coroner ruled his death an accident. And they found no illegal drugs in his system. It's typical insurance company behavior to fight a claim this large. I should now, I use to work for and huge insurance company and they pulled this shit all the time. It costs them less to fight the claim than to pay it outright.
