DJ AM Is Out Of The Hospital
DJ AM has been released from Doctors Hospital in Georgia, a week after surviving a plane crash in South Carolina. His rep said that he's currently on his way back to Los Angeles. The rep also said: "While he is deeply saddened by the events he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends world wide. We ask that you continue respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends."
Travis Barker is still in the hospital in Georgia where he's being treated for burns to his torso and lower body. Jermaine Dupri recently visited Travis and told People: "He's supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he's feeling better. He's definitely feeling the love from everyone." Jermaine said Travis should be out of the hospital in about two weeks.
OMG and if I was in a club with him I'd wanna strangle him, I think...altho - he has some nice ideas, I guess...

That explains it.
I'm thinking...there's NO WAY this person was healed that fast from such a serious injury....I'm glad they weren't seriously hurt. I really thought that the injuries were so severe that they wouldn't survive.
That being said, I really don't even know who they are...wasn't one of them on some reality show?

I couldn't figure out how they survived either. After looking at pictures of the airplane all burned up into basically nothing. Finally I figured it out in a lightbulb moment.. they got out before the flames engulfed the airplane..
As far as why Travis Barker and DJ AM are famous?..well, yeah. Travis Barker had a reality show on MTV - it was like on and off the air in a hot minute.. It didn't amount to much basically.. He was in a successful band, Blink182, but they are broken up..but he does run a VERY popular skatebrand clothing line called, "Famous Stars and Stripes".. The only reason I know about that is because my nephew is a "skater"...
And DJ AM dated Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore..

His sister told the Enquirer that he was only burn on 12% of his body and he would have close to no permanent scarring/damage. Originally I thought he was was in worse shape than Travis Barker, but apparently that's not the case..
In fact, I read an interview w/a dude who witnessed them putting out the flames -- it was DJ AM who supposedly helped Barker out of the plane and helped put the fire out.

For someone I really don't know much about, this comes as great, yet sad news. It sounds as if he will recover physically, but will have a tough time with the emotional scars. The one incredibly great thing about surviving such a vicious confrontation with death is that these same people grow into a new appreciation of life and go on to do incredible things with their lives! Good luck to him and Travis Barker! Get well and appreciate this new lease on life and embrace what has been learned from such an event! Life will balance things out for them!
