Kirk Cameron Will Never Kiss Another Woman, Even If The Script Calls For It
The dude who played Mike Seaver on "Growing Pains" has a new movie out about firemen or something like that. The Christian evangelist stopped by "Today" to talk to batshit crazy Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb about the movie and he mentioned that he refused to do a kissing scene with the actress who played his wife.
He said: “I have a commitment not to kiss any other woman."
The director came up with a way to keep the scene without Kirk's lips touching another ho's lips. They dressed Kirk's real wife, Chelsea Noble, as the female character and shot the whole thing in silhouette.
Kirk went on to say: “So when I’m kissing my wife, we’re actually husband and wife honoring marriage behind the scenes."
Hmm...I think Tommy Girl has a similar clause in his contract. He doesn't like kissing women, because it makes him feel icky in the private areas. You know that scene of him making out with Nicole Kidman in "Eyes Wide Shut"? That scene was only completed thanks to the help of CGI magic and John Travolta in a yarn wig.

I am so with you on this one. If the man doesn't want to take part in the same low-quality shit that constantly gets pumped out of Hollywood because he feels it doesn't honor his marriage and his wife... I think that's pretty noble. I'm in no way a prude, but I certainly miss the days of film when you didn't have to see constant ridiculous simulated sex and silly make-out scenes to fill out a weak plot and push down our throats the idea that two people are "passionate".

I'd think it would be fairly obvious that a kiss isn't "fornication" and I'd hope it's just out of a deep love for his wife. It doesn't seem like it was suggested that a kiss is fornication.
I don't think he was married on Growing Pains, so that would be a completely different circumstance.
It's his job as an actor to do what the script calls for in a role he's signed up to do, which is why I'd never marry an actor. If by some bizarreness, I fell in love with an actor, I would think it endearing if he didn't want to kiss anyone else out of loyalty to me. Leave me to my idealizations, dammit! ;)
