Darn!!! Had I known Don Rickles was scheduled to be on the Emmys last night, I would have tuned in. He is the funniest guy ever.

I recall many years ago staying up late as a kid to watch him on the Tonight Show. Everyone else had gone to bed but there was no way I was going to miss Don, even though I had to get up early to go to school the next day. Don was so funny that night I laughed so hard I got the hiccups and couldn't stop. My brother, who had just started a new job and had to get up early, was trying to get some sleep and kept yelling at me from down the hall to, "Shut up!!!". The next day he had a motorcycle accident on his way to work and broke his leg . . . I blamed myself, thinking the sound of my giggling and hiccups left him sleep deprived. It's just that Don was sooooo funny that night - I couldn't stop laughing no matter how hard I tried.

Don Rickles truly is the coolest guy.

I love Don Rickles, I saw him when I was 14 in Vegas and laughed so hard that he started to make fun of me...he said he couldn't tell if I was a chink or was a beaver trying to gnaw on the seat in front of me. I still love him even though he made me really self conscious.

Mr. Rickles kicked much ass during last night's Emmys. It was great to see one of the greats riff as only he does best.

I liked what he said under his breath when he came out to the standing ovation: Why are theyall standing is it a Jewish holiday? Its nice that you stood but next time just leave a check at the door...
I also liked his rip on his producer the ""money truck" who came in with $4 and said "here Jew, do something with it"

Also liked his rip on Clint Eastwood, his wife with the jewels in Malibu simple stuff but its all in his delivery. I woke up when he came on, the rest was a snoozefest.

Funny guy. Saw him in bikini beach when he was a young man with annette and frankie awhile ago. they had a free screening in the park one night - the smell of pot was unreal. You could get high just sitting there. I love BC.

Don Rickles is best friends with Bob Newhart - they go on vacations together. Bob has some great bits about that.

I love this man, truly one of the funniest people ever. Line him up with Bob Newhartm and Buddy Hackett.

Don Rickles was great. I loved what he said about how his wife was an agent's assistant when he met her "now she sit's on the sand in Malibu and signals the ships with her jewels..." Congratulations to him!
