Travis Barker And DJ AM Critically Injured After Fatal Plane Crash
Travis Barker and DJ AM were critically injured after a small Learjet crashed during takeoff in Columbia, South Carolina. 3 men and 1 women were killed. Officials confirmed to NBC that two crew members and two passengers were killed. The names of the deceased have not been released.
Travis was taken by ambulance to a burn center in Augusta, GA. DJ AM was airlifted to the same burn center. They are both in critical condition.
Last night, Travis and DJ AM performed with Perry Farrell and Gavin DeGraw. It's not known if Perry or Gavin were on the same flight.
A spokesperson for the FAA said the Lear 60 was bound for Van Nuys, CA before midnight on Friday with six people on it. Air-traffic controllers reported seeing sparks. They said the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.
Condolences to the family and friends of the those who lost their lives. Good thoughts to Travis and DJ AM and their families.
UPDATE: Perry Farrell's manager confirmed to MTV News that Perry was not on the plane.
UPDATE II: Gavin DeGraw's publicist confirmed to People that Gavin was not on the plane. MSNBC reports that the female pilot, Sarah Lemmon, and the male co-pilot, James Bland, died in the crash.
UPDATE III: - MSNBC confirmed that 29-year-old Chris Baker of Studio City, CA was one of the passengers who died in the crash. Chris, who is known as "Little Chris," was Travis' assistant. One male passenger still hasn't been identified.
UPDATE IV: A witness who was driving down the highway saw two men, presumably Travis and DJ AM, taking off their clothes and trying to extinguish themselves. The two men told the witness that four other people were on the plane.
UPDATE V: 25-year-old Charles Still of Riverside, CA has been identified as the fourth victim of the crash. Charles was Travis' bodyguard.
UPDATE VI: TMZ reports that DJ AM's face has been severely burned and is being treated right now. Travis is expected to survive, but was burned from the waist down. Chris Baker, Travis' assistant who died in the crash, was a newlywed and his wife recently had a baby.
UPDATE VII: The National Transportation Safety Board held a press conference and gave a few more details about the crash. They said the jet overran the runway, hit a few lights and an antenna, crashed through a fence and careened across the highway next to the airport. The jet crashed into an embankment where it caught on fire.

Oh I am suffering through the things I fucking hate the most. MTV bullshit -- waiting for a "news break" during commercial... and looking at that fat pig, Perez's, piece of shit website.
I am going to have to take a Xanax in a second.
In college I had an accident with a mini-bike and burned on my right leg pretty badly. The pain was a force to be reckoned with. My Dad was in a car explosion and it burned only his face and hands, but he was in the burn unit for two weeks before they would transfer him to our hometown where he was hospitalized another four weeks. Being burned is not fun.
Thank God Perry wasn't on the plane. TMZ says Travis and AM are in stable condition.
This is just awful.

The people who died at the scene probably didn't even feel it happen. I feel horrible for them, though, and for the two who escaped - even if they survive this, it'll be a long road of pain.
Fuck that is horrible. They will all be in my prayers.

I just saw this on CNN Online...I pray that they are allright and recover from their burns. Also that Perry and Gavin were not on that flight.
This kinda puts all the Hollywood bullshiz they have been involved in in perspective. I hope Shana M. gets those babies to Travis' side, he will need all their strength in the coming days.

Critical but stable condition is better than just "critical condition".
I'm in Columbia, so getting the news in between stupid golf.
They had a witness call in on the news to explain what he saw. Poor guy sounded so traumitized. Said he said he saw a fireball go across the highway, Didn't know what it was til he got closer and he saw the tail of the plane.
And I guess he stopped to help, saw someone on fire, and 2 people trying to put him out. The guy on fire took off his clothes so was standing there naked.
When they said there were 4 other ppl on the plane, they saw that there was nothing that they could do to get to them, and that's when the witness guy started to choke up on the phone. Really heartbreaking to hear about it from someone who witnessed it like that.
....and also saying that Shanna was the female on the plane. I hope to God that's not true.
