I was cleaning the other day and found a box of the great big thick crayons my little ones used when they were in preschool and kindergarten. I smelled them and immediately it took me back to kindergarten! My husband walked in and said "hey, it smells like kindergarten in here!"

I also love the smell of cake batter. I once got a perfume from Target that was called Cake Batter. I loved it and I can't find it anymore. Bummer.

I love the smell of freshly-washed linens...I buy everything I can find in a "Linen" scent...air fresheners, fabric softeners, candles, perfume, body spray, etc. And I am a vintage linen collecting fool! I love, love, love vintage linens.

That's really sweet! Living away from home, that is what I miss the most. The smell of my mom or just my house. Just last night I realized I couldn't sleep cause I was turning my back on my bf and couldn't smell him. Same thing int he morning he left really early, so I couldn't sleep after he left.

I grew up in Roxana, Illinois, home of Shell Oil Refinery. I LOVED the smell of gas and still do! I went to sleep every night with the smell of gas in the air and a red sky (due to all of the chemicals they were burning off). My husband thinks I am a fruitcake, but he lets me pump the gas since I love the smell.

Weird - as a kid I loved the smell of gasoline (petrol) as well.

Now, I love the sound of freshly cut hair.

My 4 y.o. has a really sharp sniffer. And she will describe the smell of something perfectly: "That smells like rotten dried apricots with dust on them" or some such. And she's completely right. And she will often come sniff me for comfort.

Anyhow, I have not seen photographs of Kate Moss' daughter recently.

This pic reminded me of a juicy rumor I read on another message board I used to visit.

There was serious gossip going around that Jude Law is the father of Kate Moss' daughter. At the time of the girls conception Moss, Sadie Frost and Jude Law were a menage as thick as thieves. The rumor goes, Law fathering Kate Moss' daughter caused his split from Frost and Frost to enter a mental health clinic.

The daughter does have a little resemblance to Jude Law in this photo, she does not look like Kate Moss.

I like the smell of gasoline too. I must have been a dinosaur in another life...newly sawn wood is also good. A long long time ago when I ran a mimeograph machine, I used to like the smell of the mimeo solution too.

Who can forget Grace the secretary in Ferris Bueller covertly sniffing her little bottle of Wite-Out? Also, my kids with autism don't get into smells, but there one who I transported to camp this summer who uncapped and sniffed all of my markers each morning.

Kids and smells.... ah, memories.
