Kate Moss' Daughter Loves The Smell Of Gas
While promoting her new fragrance "Velvet Hour," Kate Moss said that her 5-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, loves the aroma of gas. Kate said that whenever she's at the gas station, she leaves the car door open so that Lila can get her fix. Hey, it could be worse. Lila could be into sniffing the same shit her mommy's into.
Kate went on to say: “I’ve heard it is one of the most preferred scents in the world — maybe that’s something to study for my next fragrance.”
Lila is not alone. It was also my drug of choice when I was a kid. I sniffed that shit like it was computer duster and I was Allison on "Intervention." Yes, it would've been criminal to write a post on sniffing and not mention her ass. I think of her walking on sunshine at least twice a day.

Interesting theory Devore, but she looks more like that Jefferson Hack dude that is claimed to be her father. Who the hell knows though. Frankly, I'm surprised that Kate was able to conceive at all.

I'm surprised that anyone ever wanted to have sex with her. Seriously, what is attractive about this woman? Nothing. Too thin, scary looking, and those teeth, yuck!

I must be a wierdo, I really can not stand the odor of gasoline.
The odor burns my nostrils.
Anyhow, I have not seen photographs of Kate Moss' daughter recently.
This pic reminded me of a juicy rumor I read on another message board I used to visit.
There was serious gossip going around that Jude Law is the father of Kate Moss' daughter. At the time of the girls conception Moss, Sadie Frost and Jude Law were a menage as thick as thieves. The rumor goes, Law fathering Kate Moss' daughter caused his split from Frost and Frost to enter a mental health clinic.
The daughter does have a little resemblance to Jude Law in this photo, she does not look like Kate Moss.

No freaking way! I used to love the taste of water from the green rubber hoses too! I always used to sneak a drink from it but my mom would always yell at me and tell me that it was toilet water...and my dad said it would make me gay. And I still love the smell of gasoline. It makes me smile...
i, too, loved the smell of gasoline--- and the smell and taste of water from those green rubber outdoor hoses.
She was said to be fond of Internet recently. Some of her fans found her on a millionaire & celebrity dating club ^^^^^^S e e k w e a l t h y. C O M^^ ^^^^. She has a personal account there with her pictures, blog and something about her albums.
That's what we called them! Ditto machines. LOL. Which I love. What a funny name... because this page is a ditto of that! And yes, it was about the damp, newly "ditto'd" page. That smell reminds me of the smell of White Out, too. And white out reminds me of those awful Papermate eraser pens. Ah, this is very quickly going nowhere good.
I agree, I liked the gasoline smell too. Also ink from those purple mimeographed pages we used to have given out at school. Trouble is that they only smelled when the ink was not-quite-dry.
Mrs. K! You are so learned. ♥

Gas does smell good. I still take big wiffs when I go to the gas station. It's rank, yet strangely alluring.

That is so sad. :(
I knew this reminded me of something.
"Starving children in Angola have discovered that sucking on a rag soaked in gasoline can quell hunger pangs for hours at a time. This rag was purchased from a child at a gas station in downtown Luanda. Kids dash between cars, competing to mop up spilled gas. The owners consider them a nuisance, so police routinely patrol the stations."

Make of it what you will. Maybe this was Kate's diet secret back when she used to be so scary emaciated skinny.

Yes, xerox copies before they were xerox copies, when they went through this machine and came out in purple print and a little bit damp? What do you call those again? Anyway, this memory betrays my age...

OMG, I remember that episode of Intervention. Forget crack, heroin, speed, anything else... that's whatever. The scariest episodes of that show have been this chick on duster and the guy on dxm. Much scarier than Paranormal State.

Another good smell was walking down Michigan Avenue on a summer day (I grew up in Chicago) and passing the Florsheim shoe store with their door open... the smell of air conditioning and leather when it was entirely too hot and muggy.
I love the smell of gasoline, too. My mom would always tell me to stop smelling it because it "will give you brain damage."
Also, the combination smell of hydraulic exhaust and greasy food at the fair. Mmm.

I like the smell of chlorine. I've been a swimmer my whole life, so it brings back memories. Mmmm...I can imagine that smell right now.
gasoline, rain (of course!), xeroxed copies (they don't really smell anymore, so i'm pretty sure it was never good for you anyway!), and does anyone remember those fruity smelling markers from when we were kids? my mom was a teacher and i remember those things quite fondly and was probably walking on sunshine myself and didn't even know it!
I remember being so excited as a kid if my teacher put one of those awesome gas-scented scratch-and-sniff stickers on my homework. They were my favorite. I also like the smell of burnt popcorn, so who the hell knows?

I think I may have forgotten one of the best smells of all: a newborn baby! They have such a wonderful smell that lasts for days and days, especially on their head. Alas, I am done having kids, so I guess I will have to wait for grandkids to smell that smell again.

puppy breath
I loved the smell of gasoline when I was a kid. I still do, however, it gets kind of hard these days to lie under strngers' cars and go sniff sniff. aah, those were the days..
I liked that smell when I was little too! go figure!!

I did that too, but I hate the smell now. I also use to really love the smell of Ajax as a kid. I was so happy when mom cleaned the bathroom. I once asked her if I could eat some. At least I asked her first, If I wasn't a good kid I might be dead. I think this explains a few things though...
Did anyone notice Kate Moss' stomach? She is covering it with her purse. Is that "Coke Bloat" or a baby bump? Its always tricky with the coke whores...u never can tell, ya know? ********************************************

I used to do that as a child as well! Most kids do is it something that we're lacking in our diets?
I used to sort of like the smell of gas when I was a kid too, but I also chewed aluminum foil because it scraped against my braces and tasted metallic and sweet. Sort of how gasoline smells. Like sweet and metallic at the same time. I fear Kate's child my grow up with a wealth of addictions just like her.

That's sweet Clarisse. Grandpa must have been around you alot while you were growing up. That's why that scent is so comforting. Who knows? But it's nice to think those we love are never really too far.
Aunt Bea,
Right. As i said, i was 6 months old when he died, so i never knew him, but from as far back as i remember, when i smell cherry tobacco, i was comforted. Now i have the pipe rack, which MY dad purchased for HIS dad. Both of whom are passed.
shandi,
The smell is harmless, but i would keep it out of reach. To make it safer in my house, it is out of reach and stuffed into a stocking. I can smell it fine but even if it gets knocked, it is contained.

Do you remember a store called The Tinder Box? It sold all kinds of tobacco and I used to LOVE going in there just for the smell. It reminded me of going to my grandpa's house when he was little. He used to smoke a pipe, although I don't know what kind of tobacco he smoked. Oh, it just brings back memories when I happen to smell that. I was actually thinking of buying some pipe tobacco and setting it out for the smell, but I wasn't sure if that was dangerous for young ones to be smelling constantly. Anyone know?
I am really starting to like the smell of salsa now because it reminds me of being in my grandmother's kitchen. She was Italian, so she was always cooking with tomatoes, onions and peppers. And now whenever I cut back the ivy in my front landscaping, the smell reminds me of my grandmother's garden. Smell is really connected to me memories.

Aunt Bea, Gold Canyon Candles already has a candle called Fresh Cut Grass. I know because my friend LOVES that smell and she always has one burning in the kitchen. And it smells EXACTLY like the real thing. Their candles are of high quality. You may want to check it out!

Paquita, thanks for the info. No, it wasn't by Demeter, but I may try that brand. I think the brand was called SKIN, and the fragrance was Cake Batter. It smelled so good!

Shelley, Clarisse: The weirdest thing is that I was walking along Lexington Avenue and I smelled cherry pipe tobacco (which I also LOVE) and I looked around and couldn't see anyone smoking it. My dad used to smoke that. And the apple tobacco, too.

The reason I asked Clarisse if her Grandpa smoked Cherry pipe tobacco is because I have read and also believe that when those that have passed on, are around us, we smell a familiar scent. It's their way of letting us know, they are with us.
Is your dad still alive?
Aunt Bea!
Cherry Tobacco!!!! The pipe holder still smells like it! I have it in my living room filled now.
xxyxz,
Thanks! Yeh, i never "knew" him, but apparently i was his "baby girl"...

I like the smell of gas too...always thought I was a bit strange so I never told anyone.
I also love the smell of cherry pipe tobacco--my grandfather used to smoke a pipe, I don't think it is popular anymore.

Cherry Pipe tobacco!!!
I have always found the smell of cherry pipe tobacco comforting, but never knew why! I was packing my moms stuff to move her into an apt and I came across this pipe holder that was OLD!!!! Asked mom about it and she said it was my Grandpa's….Turns out my grandfather use to smoke pipes all the time. I was 6 months old when he passed away...

Shandi: Demeter Fragrances has a "Vanilla Cake Batter" fragrance. Could that be it?
My sister gave my daughter the "Sugar Cookie" fragrance, which is a nice thing for a pretty little four year old to smell like...

I also love the smell of cake batter. I once got a perfume from Target that was called Cake Batter. I loved it and I can't find it anymore. Bummer.

Is it by Demeter? My friend wears Vanilla Cake Batter. She gets it online. For me, I like the smell of fresh cut grass. I'm waiting for Yankee Candle to make it.
The smell of petrol makes me a bit dizzy (and not in a fun way), but I love the smell of recently dried paint. It makes me nostalgic for my first childhood home. I also love the way blown out candles and matches smell.
