Fey As Palin
In case you missed it, here's the one and only Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live" last night. Fey seriously became Palin! This whole skit was made of magic. Yes, I was drunk when I first watched it, but I saw it again this morning and still giggled like Tommy Girl getting his feetsies tickled by John Travolta.
I could have watched these two all morning. Tina should win an Emmy for her posing skills alone. Why didn't I learn that shit at Barbizon?! Anybonerkiller, watch that shit if you haven't already.
SNL should have ended right after Tina and Amy's skit, because the rest of it was pretty bleak. I mean, we were told that Michael Phelps hosted, but he pretty much disappeared after his first monologue. They put him in the corner and gave him like 3 lines to spout. The only time I laughed was when Kristen Wiig was on the screen. The woman saves every fucking skit she's in. Nobody does "slow person in need of an exorcism" quite like Kristen.
Okay, I'll admit that I did crack a smile when they showed Debbie Phelps having a "Chico's kind of day."

I've met Sarah Palin. She used to be "Mayor" in Wasilla where I owned a home. She's a smiling piece of shit and will fuck us all. That bitch is toxic.

for anyone who goes in and or around the gay drag community will recognize this expression. it means to find a drag queen who still bores resblance of a man, or a “stag-drag” throw her on her back and procide to have intercourse with her (er well him.)
this joke was highly funny due to the fact i work in a gay bar, and there was a bigger i imagine it would in other places where the expression isnt widley used.

Defending someone while spelling their name wrong consistently just... well, makes their supporters look bad on the whole.
The skit was hilarious-- Tina Fey nailed it, and Poehler rides the jagged edge of hysteria VERY humorously.
Dude - Shotgun! Don't you gt it?
Palin wants to take AWAY WOMEN'S CHOICE! That's what Pro-Life means!
No one wants people to have abortions, Pro-Choice people just don't want to make decisions for the rest of the world..
Idiot!
Common, Re-pube-licans! Don't be so hard on Tina Fey. After all, Palin essentially handed over the comedic material on a silver platter.
If it turns out that we are condemned to four years of McPain-in-the-ass in office then at least comedians will not have to work too hard to make us all laugh. It might just make their jobs easier than they were when we were saddled with monkey boy Bush.

The brilliance of the posters on this tread are, hmmm, better watch my words, I may be labeled a radical right wing maniac. So, Palin is pro LIFE. I thought the womens movement allowed a woman to have a CHOICE? A choice to make her own mind up about issues, ALL ISSUES. Apparently that means if your a woman you BETTER chose abortion. Also, I thought Hillary Clinton stated, when she ran for the Senate that she would NOT run for office in '08?? A Democrat that lied?? Impossible, she's much too intelligent. The truth is both major parties have let the American people down.
You just contradicted yourself - yes it is about CHOICE, however Palin's views are that abortion should be banned, except in the case where the mothers life is in danger (gee, better luck next time, woman who are raped because it looks like you'd have yet another decision taken away from you).
So, what she is saying is not simply her CHOICE, it's the way she thinks EVERYONE should feel and by imposing her CHOICE to be pro-life and have the view that abortion should be outlawed, she would be taking away other womens CHOICES.
Yeah, great poster girl for the womens movement.

Exactly! I don't want my small-town mayor or a soccer mom as Prez/VP -- those are EXTREMELY important roles that should require, at the very least, some sort of advanced degree, knowledge of economics, foreign relations, etc. Being a mayor, or even a governor, does not qualify you for that sort of position. The 'average joe', obviously, by the polls showing support of Palin, has no idea of what it takes to run this country. And yet they're going to put someone into power who will make things 100x worse.
Obama taught -- not took, TAUGHT -- Constitutional Law for 10 years. And people are saying he has less experience?!?!? In what, shitting out kids?
Oh wait, I forgot. It's his 'experience' and 'education' that makes him elitist, right? I guess he needs to cheat on his wife and maybe get a couple of DUIs so he can appeal to 'us common folk.'
I'm not an American by birth but I've lived in this country for quite a while now.
Some things, however, still remain mystery to me. For instance; what's with the cult of average guy?? I mean, what's up with "She's just like us"
I'm talking about Palin and how some people tend to embrace that she's just a mom, wife blah blah..
Personally, I do not want to see anybody like that. Majority of people out there are dumb and I think it would make sense to pick soeone who's more educated that mmost of us, more articulate and honest than most of us. The list goes on..
And I thought it's fucked up where I come from..

stake_spike, Americans are not so much ignorant as they are easily swayed by the cult of personality. Palin has been quite cynically marketed as if she were a contestant on American Idol or Dancing With The Stars, and many Americans can't tell the difference between Palin and, say, Carrie Underwood. They see all the surface things (perky twinkle behind the glasses, holy motherhood, the calculated soundbites, etc.) and think she should "win the competition." It doesn't matter that she's not very intelligent, informed or otherwise qualified to be vice president - I actually read a post on another site which stated that the writer would rather look at the "hot" Palin for four years instead of "boring old college professor Obama." Yeah, that's what makes a good VP - whether she's hot and telegenic. You're right to despair of Americans - we're going to get exactly what we deserve. I for one thought we were coming out of the dark tunnel of the last eight years, but it seems we might well be in for at least another four years of darkness - and war (and a possible draft), and erosion of our civil rights, and reduced reproductive rights for women, and economic depression... But at least we'll have a VP who is a MILF!

Here Here! I know what you mean.
I was reading the Daily Mail yesterday and there was an article on Palin which stated that Obama was behind them in the polls now. A bunch of Americans had posted on there about how Palin's going to rock in the White House and Obama should shove it because he thinks he's god. It was just the most ignorant crap I've ever read. All they could talk about was "she goes to church", "she wants to put an end to abortion", "she's pretty". I mean come on are Americans so f-cking ignorant?!?! We are the most backwards soceity. How we've lasted this long is beyond comprehension (although I'm sure that jumpstart on democracy helped).
Up until now people were getting angry because Obama wasn't stooping to their level and attacking them and they thought it was such a wrong move but then he says something (not even about her) and he's demonized. Do you know why he hadn't stooped down to that level? Because he knows diplomacy and intellegence win (in a normal soceity) not attacks and low blows.
I want to see the media stop treating that ignorant twat Palin with kid gloves and really go at here. Yet another story hit the news (Palin hires her friends) and it's still God Bless Palin?
I love my country but I hope to god (& I'm not religious) if those fools win, I can move abroad in January. I just can't take it anymore.
I would never support any parent who put his or her own ambitions ahead of the public scrutiny that his or her pregnant daughter would have to bear.
Sarah Palin should have said NO for the sake of her daughter, but she thinks she is too important.
my decison on who to vote for was made during the primaries...my choice was made on the issues...anyone who is still on the fence on who to vote for because they want to know which one would be a better beer buddy just remember that's how the one that is in now got the job...

Hillary would have been a much better choice than Obama. Obama will lose all the swing states that Hillary would have won. Hillary was a fantastic candidate and a great woman who would have been a great President.
...that is true and I concur. Too bad about that bitch thing, though. Unfortunately for Hilary, Obama clearly was the better man who knew when to keep his mouth shut and tuck his balls in. Look you don't have to love Obama or anything, but the last thing he is, is a joke. He's an intelligent and articulate man, and he touches something in many people.
I could give a shit about experience or all the other blah blah. I want to hear someone who actually has common sense and even compassion try to lead this country to something better, and just just the ones who want to line their own pockets on the blood of our militia.
Even if Obama hasn't laid out a hard core plan, I like the fact that he talks like a man who is willing to sit and talk with other people to find solutions and not someone is so prideful and power hungry and money hungry and that he just does things that many people don't believe in. Homosexuals and even teenage mothers who may or may not be having abortions aren't hurting our country like the rich and greedy are!
SO I want someone who is going to concentrate on important issues like spending tax money wisely .I don't even mind being taxed if it wasn't going to stupid shit! like war over education, like preventing abortion and gay marriage over homelessness and health care, like building expensive nuts and bolts for $1 million dollars-yeah that was a nice screwup there-instead of building levees, levees in our President's own supposed home state even.
I'm tired of half this country acting like there's not a fucking thing wrong with the fact we owe billions to Russia and China, and most of the other countries hate our asses because they rather live with their heads stuck far up their moralistic asses, and yet don't even live by the creeds and standards they try to apply to everyone else. Cut the judgmental bullshit out and use some common sense to get this world together before it really does come to an end!

Alaska IS a small state population wise. Arkansas is only smaller landwise...(why did I really need to say that?), there are more people in a suburb of Chicago or Illinois than in Alaska....and lil ole Arkansas has more than 5 times the population of Alaska.

As I said, Bill appointed Hillary officially to reform health care. She was not acting as First Lady.
She worked in secrecy to come up with a huge proposal that was a joke and was ridiculed and rejected by the Democratic Congress.

Deb, I have to respectfully correct you.
She was not acting as First Lady giving some ideas regarding health care - Bill appointed her officially to head the reform of health care.
She worked behind closed doors and developed a huge proposal that was totally ineffective and ridiculed.
I would vote for a woman, gay, different color, etc if they had the quafications and allow people to be who they are, unless it hurts children or animals, then I would hope they stepped in. Hunting fairly is a sport and often puts food on the table, running down an animal until its exhausted is abuse. Instead of changing gays to suit yourself why not change racism? Who? What's your source? The answer is irrelevent because if Hillary Clinton licks a hundred pussies a week, or straps one on to fuck her husband, she was still an intelligent, experienced civil servant and politician. Even if I didn't agree with all of Hillary's policies, I respect her enormously for actually taking the time to make & communicate them!

Teddy Roosevelt did run as a Progressive Party (nicknamed Bull Moose) candidate when he came back to politics after his presidency, but he ran as and served all of his elected offices as a Republican.
I didn't say they were identical in every way (plus you are comparing his entire life long after the presidency) - I was pointing out that at the time of his VP campaign, their experience was very similar.

And I love when Letterman comments about Palin not giving her daughter enough information about birth control. Her daughter's a teenager - what's his excuse for being an unwed father at his age?"
There's a BIG difference between the age differences of Palin's daughter and Letterman. In fact, that shouldn't be an issue.
What should be an issue is the hypocritical nature Palin is dishing out over the fact that her daughter IS knocked up. First of all, she doesn't believe in sex ed in schools, which most likely means it was not taught in the home. Secondly, she says that having premarital sex is bad, nay a sin, and yet, it's A-OK for her daughter to have intercourse that led to the creation of a child. What's she's basically putting out there is that's it's OK for her children to make mistakes, but all others are either sinners, liars or unfit to be anything in this world. Talk about another world this broad is living in. She is NOT fit to be VP nor President of our Country.
