Lynne Spears' Book Is Going To Blow
I hope Lynne Spears is on the phone with fucking Jackie Collins, because it sounds like her book is going to need some major rewrites before its release next week. Last week, it was reported that Lynne wrote about Brit Brit's drug use, virginity and boozing in her new book. Well, none of that shit is in there. Her book just went from "a good toilet read" to "toilet paper."
The publisher said that Lynne's book of crap is not a tell-all or a parenting book. Instead, "Through the Storm" is "an inspirational tale of a mother who struggles to keep faith at the center of her life." If I wanted "inspirational tales," I'd watch the Hallmark Movie Channel. Seriously, those movies make me want to bake cookies from scratch and turn my apartment into a halfway house for wayward young girls.
Even though Brit Brit's cherry poppin' tales aren't in the book, she's still pissed off at her mom for releasing it. Page Six reports that she's only talking to Daddy Spears now. Brit blames Lynne for most of her problems and issues.
Lynne has chitterlings for brains. If you're going to whore out your kids, at least do it right. Don't half-ass it! Spill all of their dirty secrets and make sure to include a lot of scandalous pictures! Nobody cares about her stupid "inspirational tales."

Okay, unless I'm in the minority here, this is not a fight. It's a discussion. BeefBlaster, I don't know who you were, & if you've been slandered by M.E., I can understand the desire to retaliate. That makes a lot more sense than someone who has lurked & then suddenly goes on the attack.
I don't know what happened with you 2, so I can't comment on it specifically (not that my comments mean a damned thing anyway).
& sugaroo, it takes a big person to admit fault. I think it's great that you've done it. I've seen M.E. do it too. I'm really not trying to fight. Just saying, "Never" is a strong word & not accurate in this case. I admire that you & I can discuss things w/o resorting to insults & profanity.

I still stand by what I said. There have been plenty of people here that are just assholes because they feel like it to me when I dont even say anything directly to them. Sorry to butt into this whole argument, I just really thought that regardless of whatever M.E and others have said to you here, that personal attack was really uncalled for. I posted long ago, and read DListed often, and would not be welcome with my previous sign-in name, so I chose to make a new one. I had been slandered by M.E. in the past so my pointing out that her attack on Britney Spears should perhaps be looked at inwardly was not entirely unwarranted. Perhaps it's me holding onto a grudge, fault me for it, but I see it happen often.
Okay, I have an honest question here, & I'm not trying to start anything. When I was new, I didn't come out swinging, attacking people. I tried to get the lay of the land first. (& I, too, lurked before posting.) Maybe I'm wrong & there have been other posts (since I'm rarely on at night), but why start out like this? Making enemies (or at least setting people on edge) from the beginning?

I don't understand what people are talking about when they throw around words like "grow up" and "blame", in regards to Britney Spears. Once a parent fucks up, they do it so badly that a kid can't even see straight. I've worked with kids who had to prostitute themselves b'cause their parents threw them out into the streets and gave up on parenting. These kids blame themselves, never the parent. In the blame game, "growing up" rarely means forgiving the parent, most adult children need to forgive themselves. In my humble opinion.

A lot depends on what the parents are being blamed for. I have a cousin who spent her entire life taking care of her hypochondriac mother. She did not make any friends at school and never worked outside the home. When my aunt died, my 53-year-old cousin had to learn to interact with people for the first time. She was totally shattered by the experience. My cousin now lives with another family member. I totally blame my aunt.
