Anderson Cooper isn't fussy! Page Six spotted him getting his hair cut at a barber shop in NYC for $15.
Andy should have saved his sexy pennies. I have a Flowbee at home. I would have done it for free. And I would have thrown in a back massage....and a happy ending...and a prostate check.....and a candlelit dinner.... and a walk on the beach.... and a marriage proposal... and a.... DAMMIT! Why won't he return my 10,000 phone calls!? I just want to cut his hair! I JUST WANT TO LOVE HIM. Fuck. Excuse me, I have to go take my meds. I'm starting to get the "Aniston shakes."

The Brazilian Straightening is like the Japenese but it's supposed to be better if your hair is fried like mine (from too many Japanese straightenings)

ant: Nah, Mr. Hekki gets his hair cut on Carmine Street (same guy for 20 years) for about $35. I see a lot of guys in the "Dramatics" place I go to, and they only charge $19.95. And the regular barber shop on my block is $15. Paul Mole is only $29 for a basic cut.
$50 isn't "extravagant" in my book, but it's close.
I guess I'm old fashioned and a bit sexist.

snowpiece: you can also try hairmates, another japanese salon. i go to the one in midtown, 40th btw park and lex, so it's convenient if you're coming from the office. hairmates is more relaxed and has a more street japanese feel to it than s.e.i.
there are random places in ktown you can check. i don't know any i could recommend, but i can ask my korean friends.
hmm, i don't know of any salons that do the brazilian straightening... i never even knew that existed and i used to live in brazil!
however, i SWEAR by s.e.i. its a japanese salon though, not brazilian. the best branch is on west 4th btw 6th ave and washington sq west. they do the japanese straightening there and are amazing!

i think it NYC, an avg men's haircut is around $50.
any decent haircut this is. i might have to check out that barber shop that cooper went to (8th and 23rd) but most non-asian people don't have too much experience cutting asian hair...
i once went to prive at the soho grand and that shitty haircut i got was $120! i mistakenly assumed there was a price difference between men and women's cuts. needless to say, i just stick with my japanese salons.
Is that supposed to be BAD? In my opinion, any man who pays more than $30 for a fucking MEN'S HAIRCUT is an extravagant little tart.
