Thing is, the kids love that style these days. Little girls really covet her. They have all her stuff, I guess that's why her hair straighteners are pink etc. Also older girls in their early 20's seem to be copying her wedding lately (seen two weddings where they hired the same lame horses and carriage to take her to the wedding)

Even 12 year olds copy everything she does, right down to bleaching their hair. it's kinda gone a bit mad!

Umm to the lady asking about what riding style I ride dressage. Now don't rip me to shreds lol I just ride regular then I met someone who is a dressage instructor and has just taught me how to do it because it's better for the horse. It teaches how to ride correctly so the weight is in the right places so the horses can carry it better in it's legs not it's back and teaches the horse how to carry itself properly. I don't compete - not my scene. I should say classical dressage the old school style from portugal and spain will make more sense. It keeps the horses joints from aging so quickly, and the quietness of the aids means less stress on the horse too (ie the bit, not banging and bruising ribs with legs etc) Wow that was long sorry for those not interested!

Hate that hot pink - there am back on topic! =) I really do though!! It sucks and I like a little bit of pink here and there on occasion.

As a horse rider in the Uk, I think this looks awful! And no I wouldn't buy it. Katie does keep horses though, and does ride and has done since a child. She is aiming this at little kids, who judging by the kids at my riding school have a PASSION for anything pink for their ponies.

Okay, I don't even know where to begin on this one, so I'll start here: Does she want us to believe that this line of horse-wear is geared toward the dressage horse - 'cuz that's a dressage whip she's wielding. If that's the case, I can assure you that, even at the training level, a horse and rider would be laughed out of the ring with pink hooves. And you're not allowed to wrap your horses legs for showing either. It's a VERY conservative and traditional discipline.

Now, eventers can dress themselves and their horses up in whatever they like. At the local level shows I see a lot of brightly colored wraps, saddle pads and miscellaneous tack. Miss tits does not strike me as an eventer, though.

Incidentally, that's not a dressage saddle in the background. Make up your mind! But if this is "lounge-wear" for horses, then, uh...your horse has too much time on its hands.

Deffo on the legwarmer... things. I see those all the time (in normal colors), but clearly those are for horsey's aerobic workout after the shoot. I dunno about the hooves though... When I still showed, we would use special black lacquer (sp?) to paint my horse's hooves. Makes them look shiny - kind of like when we put polish on our leather shoes. It looks like they did the same, only it's... sparkley pink. *winces*
