Palin! Palin! Palin! Sarah Palin made the cover of 4 weeklies this week proving that....well...that she has scary teeth. Teeth that could make a moose cry. Poor moosies. I wonder if Sarah also made the cover of "Girls 'n" Guns" magazine too? Probably.
It seems like the story is the same in all of these magazines. SCANDAL! BABIES! LIES! SECRETS! TEETH! KAREN WALKER! MORE LIE-TELLING! SCANDAL!
Basically, the Palin family has become the Spears family of Alaska. Somebody shake Brit Brit from her Vicodin-Cheeto coma and let her know that this Sarah Palin chick is taking her place! I want to see pictures of Brit Brit looking tore-up on all these covers, not this Sarah lady! Come on, Brit! Rob a Starbucks! Slap the artificial cheese out of Chester Cheetah! Anything! Handle it.
OK! Magazine went with a double cover this week. Michelle and Barack Obama are on one cover and Palin and Trig are on the other. Oh and Carrie thinks Jessica is fat, because she is fat! Fat in the mouth!

I think Obama and Michelle actually decided to go into this together. They thought it out. They wanted to do it. Obama started his own kind of campaign and won the Dem nomination due to his hard work and his beliefs and his message. Sarah Palin was asked to do this. Whereas Obama promotes himself, Sarah has promoters. She can and will only say what they tell her to. Obama has a genuine message. Sarah is a pawn in a desperate Republican game. Candy to dangle for the extreme right and to take the focus off McCain for a while and all his faults. No, no one is perfect. But Obama is the most decent I've seen in a very long time. We do have to remember as responsible voters and mature citizens (those of us that are) that Sarah can't see why she is such a bad choice in this. She really believes the crap she says she does. And doesn't see how it affects everyone else. I think it's called self righteousness and she is full of it. And it's too bad. The US is really ready for something more than that. And the old fogey generation that keeps this type of crap alive can't do it forever. Like and old Ani DiFranco song went...keep throwing change in our cups...but we are coming up.

I completely agree with you. People should be free to live their lives using whatever principles, religious or otherwise, that they want. The only issue I have is when people try to think their principles are what should dictate total strangers lives. Like their beliefs are the only 'right' ones and they should be able to project those onto total strangers.
Not that I have never voted for someone who is, on paper, a republican, I have. But the whole mantra of republicans 'wanting less government' is so counter to what they actually want to do, that it is blatently hypocritical.
