Who's Going To Play Bristol Palin?

So guess what? Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has announced that her 17-year-old daughter Bristol is knocked up! This is too fucking perfect. Bristol is 5-months pregnant.

Dear Lifetime, you have found your next movie! Let's see, Jamie Lynn Spears can play Bristol, for obvious reasons. I mean, she's already done research on the role. Tina Fey and Megan Mullaly are too good to play Sarah. I know, Patricia Heaton's evil ass can play her. She would be perfect.

Anyhypocritey, this exciting news continues on from the rumor I posted about yesterday, which was that Sarah faked a pregnancy and pretended to have given birth to a boy named Trig Paxton Van Palin. The rumor was that Trig was actually Bristol's child and that Sarah was his memaw.

Sarah made the announcement today about her daughter being with child to shoot down rumors that she faked her own pregnancy to hide the family shame known as Bristol. So Bristol couldn't have been pregnant with 4-month-old Trig, because she was too busy being pregnant with her own kid. Bristol's got an alibi! I think we found a co-author for Lynne Spears' next book on parenting.

Sarah issued a statement and said that Bristol is planning on keeping the child and marrying the wonderful father, Levi. Sarah goes on to say “Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows that she has our unconditional love and support. Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family." The Palin family has also asked for privacy during this time. Yeah, good fucking luck with that. And do you blame Bristol? Where else is there to do in Alaska besides make babies and skin trout?

I just can't wait to see what other scandals the Republicans may bring. Who knows, maybe Sarah is the one who is knocked up and Bristol is just returning the favor. Expect to see Sarah's ass in mumus and leaky titties. Or maybe McCain will announce he's a hermie. Or Cindy McCain will give birth to a pharmacist (yeah right, in her Vicodin dreams). Let me tell you, the possibilities on this are endless.

Did you guys on this page spend any time on the kids Myspace pages?? They're ALL A BUNCH OF GD SPOILED BRATS. The fucking sister of the alleged "dad" claims a family income of $250,000. Presuming that's true, all the kids in this circle are pissing away a lot of money while BOTH of their parents are off building their blessed careers. I'm sure the supervision consists of a housekeeper who is probably an Alaskan minority (just a guess). I hope this shit dropkicks Palin's retarded ass back to Alaska. I heard speculation that that might happen. Someone on t.v. said this was a disaster for the Republicans. There's no way to spin it to their favor.

I'm not assuming she knew anything. She obviously expects parents to know whether their children are having sex and that that's the only safeguard against pregnancy - talking to your children about abstinence.

Do you think it's reasonable for her, with her daughter's circumstances, to go against contraceptives AND sex education, expecting children to not have sex? That's the point I'm making.

The following accusations could be completely false, but I’ve heard some crazy/maybe not so crazy things since this news broke, from people who supposedly are/were in high school with Bristol. They say that she is not pregnant. This “pregnancy” is to cover up that she was pregnant with Trig (if she’s “5 months along” she couldn’t have had Trig, as he’s 4 months old), and she will have a “miscarriage” in the coming months. They also say that Trig does not have Down syndrome, but has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome because Bristol was a “party girl.” I don’t know if these things are true, because they do sound kind of outlandish, but I just don’t understand why else a pregnant woman leaking amniotic fluid would give a 30 minute speech in Texas, then fly 8 hours to Alaska, and then drive 45 minutes to give birth to a preemie in a hospital that is not equipped to deal with risky births.

Well, I don't think it's wrong for a woman to be a wife, mother, and politico. It isn't wrong for her, but I'm hoping her husband is the homemaker in this case. Usually if the woman is an independant working woman, she's also expected to be the full-time mom. It's absolutely in line with Feminism to not expect a woman to fill ALL these roles simultaneously. You could say we would never be discussing this if she were a man, BUT Palin does want us to see her as a full-time mommy Donna Reed and politician, so that's why it comes up. She mentioned PTA and that her husband "an iron-dog-whatever competition winner" is her hero.
But, aside from that, this particular "morality cop" is hypocritical. Secondly, can you imagine this person meeting dignitaries? I can't. Call me "elitist", but I do believe higher officials should be of a better social ilk than Lyn Spears, and also display better personal judgment. Especially when the judgments you make in your personal life are in stark contrast to your political ideas.

cadebra1961-

Hillary's choice to stay in her marriage is something most conservatives would adore IF she were conservative herself. Also, most importantly, Clinton never sought to make adultery a political issue like Palin made sex education and teen pregnancy. Palin's personal issues wouldn't be important if it didn't have any significance in regards to her political views.

I feel dirty just thinking am defending this twat, but you are assuming she knew her kid was having sex and approved it (was her choice). Hell my parents where extremely strict and when I was 17, every night I would sneak out and take the car out to work at a bar -- my parents where not the wiser, cause I was an A student, captain of the volleyball team, who never gave them a reason to complain or doubt me. Lucky for me nothing bad happened to me -- when I told my parents when I was in my 20's they still refuse to believe I could have done all of that under their noses. Just sayin'

I apologize, I can't remember who all posted. The thread was busy.

Maybe it's old fashioned, and for some sexist, but I think an infant needs it's mother as much as possible, if possible. Sometimes, women's liberation makes women feel as though unless they hold the traditional role of a man, they are not equal. I look at that from a different perspective. There is no job more important than being a parent, whether you stay at home or work outside the home. It is nature that women are the dominant parent in the care and nurturing of children. That is something to be proud of, to hail above just being a breadwinner. In that respect, women's liberation caved to what a man's standard is. I don't know if I'm expressing myself clearly so I'm sure I'll piss people off.

Women are capable of doing any job, and should be paid the same for doing that job. But when you choose to become a mother, that's the job numero uno.

I don't think it takes the women's movement back by candidly admitting that it is extremely difficult for ANYONE, man or woman, to be some kind of superperson. I said this on the previous Palin thread. Women wanted to be independent during the feminist movement: fine, we have that, we have careers, we have everything. That's just it, we have so much that they're now becoming huge stressors. Of course, many men were more than happy to let the little wifey take on full-time careers and bring home good money in addition to all the things they were doing before! Maid, cook, chauffeur, laundry attendent, PTA member, careerwoman, MILF...it has come to the point where we are expected to do it all, with big smiles of satisfaction on our faces. The choice is no longer there. I don't care if someone wants to be both the mother of small children and full-time breadwinner, but I'm pretty sure those kids would like to have her full-time attention for at least the first couple of years of their lives. And I don't like the idea that we are somehow not really women if we do not wear all of the twenty or so hats that society these days expects us to wear. Who benefits? Maybe the men in our lives do, but besides the monetary advantage, women and children certainly do not.

------------------------------------

Krist on a cracker radio siren! I like you but I gotta disagree a lot. Men aren't making women do a fucking thing. Women are driving the shit in their own fucking overloaded lives. I chose NOT to have kids so I wouldn't have to play the fucking mom-on-a-platter role. I saw the trainwreck coming and jumped off the tracks. I could give a FUCK about what anybody thinks about that. Stupid asshat women have done themselves their own damage. No sympathy from me.

*apologizing in advance if I misinterpreted your statement, but i am so goddammed sick of feminists blaming MEN for what THEY decide to do and continue to decide to do Every.Goddammed.Day.

But radio that is not what am saying. I do think it is unfair to think a woman can be the breadwinner and do the childrearing and cleaning etc. Too much. The point is that some families, and truthfully I do not know about Palin's the man takes that role of the childrearing and cleaning etc. My mother's best friend back in the 80's was a doctor, her husband stayed at home and did all the cleaning and took the kids everywhere. He was happy to do it and their marriage worked. Their kids now are both in med school and love them both. I do know with today's economy sometimes both parents have to work, my point was and is that just because she is the "mom" she is required to do both. It is not necessary for the mom to stay at home to have good kids, and saying otherwise in a vacumm, first assumes it is still required that women do the childrearing and puts no responsibility on the husband.

I was here too speakit yesterday. I guess I disagree that her job as a mother somehow thwarts that she can be VP or President, even with 5 kids. As I said yesterday to you among others, I know plenty of women that have successfully gone back to work after 3 days and have their husband be the primary care taker and the kids turn out just fine (and don't have kids while being children). I just think that saying both their parents failed this child is one thing, but saying a woman with 5 young children has no time takes us all back. That is all.

As for Aquarius, my comment was not addressed to you or speakit for that matter, it was a general comment to the posters that say that the VP job is too time consuming for a mother and she should be taking care of her children. To me, Obama also has young kids and that job takes more time, but because he is a man, and the job of rearing kids is traditionally "moms" no one mentions it. I guess my point is that both parents are equally responsible and any argument that she should have declined because of young children is unfair and takes us back. So I guess for a woman with children, you can run but only if your kids are older... I guess I do not buy that.

oh and I do agree that running on family values and having your kid be pregnant is a set back, but hell,I do not agree that she probably is forcing this kid to get married, but she is visibly pregnant so the decision to have the kid or not happened before she was a VP nominee. That girl looks like a house.

Oh and in case I have not been clear for the last 2 days... Palin makes Quayle look like FDR. ____________________________________________
