Who's Going To Play Bristol Palin?
So guess what? Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has announced that her 17-year-old daughter Bristol is knocked up! This is too fucking perfect. Bristol is 5-months pregnant.
Dear Lifetime, you have found your next movie! Let's see, Jamie Lynn Spears can play Bristol, for obvious reasons. I mean, she's already done research on the role. Tina Fey and Megan Mullaly are too good to play Sarah. I know, Patricia Heaton's evil ass can play her. She would be perfect.
Anyhypocritey, this exciting news continues on from the rumor I posted about yesterday, which was that Sarah faked a pregnancy and pretended to have given birth to a boy named Trig Paxton Van Palin. The rumor was that Trig was actually Bristol's child and that Sarah was his memaw.
Sarah made the announcement today about her daughter being with child to shoot down rumors that she faked her own pregnancy to hide the family shame known as Bristol. So Bristol couldn't have been pregnant with 4-month-old Trig, because she was too busy being pregnant with her own kid. Bristol's got an alibi! I think we found a co-author for Lynne Spears' next book on parenting.
Sarah issued a statement and said that Bristol is planning on keeping the child and marrying the wonderful father, Levi. Sarah goes on to say “Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows that she has our unconditional love and support. Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family." The Palin family has also asked for privacy during this time. Yeah, good fucking luck with that. And do you blame Bristol? Where else is there to do in Alaska besides make babies and skin trout?
I just can't wait to see what other scandals the Republicans may bring. Who knows, maybe Sarah is the one who is knocked up and Bristol is just returning the favor. Expect to see Sarah's ass in mumus and leaky titties. Or maybe McCain will announce he's a hermie. Or Cindy McCain will give birth to a pharmacist (yeah right, in her Vicodin dreams). Let me tell you, the possibilities on this are endless.

Thanks for having my back Leatherette, but I think I have said some very judgmental things here today.
The bottomline, though, as I said WAY BACK ON PAGE 4 or somehing Cheeze-Stain, is that its not about having a child out of wedlock (truly all children are a gift), its about the Republican Party's HYPOCRISY.

O yeah ...and I don't mean to offend anyone either...or be offended. Sometimes I get...passionate. But I realize I don't even think I quoted the right people there. In actuality - I want everyone to think it's so easy and then I want every one to act on it. I'm always wanting to dare everyone in the world to take one day off. All at the same time so no one can beat anyone to anything becuz you know that's what it's all about....But really - just a day off and do nothing. Go to the park, have breakfast in bed, stretch...but really, it's so much easier to relax when everyone else is doing it too...
*sigh* See? Passion;p

I am going to come back here in November and mock everyone of you lowlifes when McCain and Palin are elected.
Then in 4 years Palin will be running for President and she will win. The Democratic party is effectively extinguished and on its last legs and so are the immoral douchebags on the far left.

I'm not religious by any means, but my grandparents were, and I'm trying to figure out what they would have thought of all this. They approved of sex ed in school (as I recall, they were the ones who signed my permission slip). But they were old-school: they would not have thought that a shotgun wedding would make the getting-pregnant-out-of-wedlock thing all a-okay. I think they would have still looked at Bristol Farms as somewhat trashy. I think some modern Christians are so desperate to have new followers join their flock that they are willing to overlook the pregnancy issue if she tries to "make amends" i.e. shotgun wedding. This way, they can make it look like they are being non-judgemental. Pretty twisted, but this is just speculation on my part.

And this:
Given her young age and relatively short resume, why is she any more ready to be president than Sen. Barack Obama?
JOHN: I don't think it's a short resume. She first ran for office back in 1992. I don't know what Senator Obama was doing then, but the first time she ran was 1992. That's 16 years. I think that's a pretty, pretty event-filled and record-filled resume.
SARAH: And I haven't had too many years other than that to fill up yet.
JOHN: There you go.
Yep, that's convincing... plus, he doesn't know what his opponent was doing 16 years ago? Seems a bit sloppy to me.

I think society as a whole is putting more pressure on everyone (as angel_i said yesterday) to be super-human beings and complete successes. I believe that women really do suffer from this; I know I do. Because in addition to having successful careers, homes, and relationships, we also have to be seen as attractive and good mommies (for those who have kids). It's just an unbelievable amount of work! Again, I guess I'm really just blaming modern society as a whole.
--------------------------
I still don't agree with that. It's YOUR CHOICE TO JONES. Don't blame society for choices you make to spend too much money, to buy too much house, to have super-deluxe kids, expensive cars....all so you can prove something that's making you exhausted? That's fuk'd up. Start living your own life instead of a Sunday circular life. Geez.
*********************************
That's easy enough to say but see the pressure - even for this? You throw up your hands and roll your eyes because she admits to struggling? And that's how it is all over - only you're only one poster, here on Dlisted, saying "let it go" when every where you go you are berated by magazine covers, billboards, and tonnes of other people who are ready to throw up their hands and roll their eyes every time you misstep (in their eyes).
Believe me - I've pulled myself out and it's SO hard to live outside the box. You don't know any of the latest TV characters and you don't travel to Cuba every winter and you don't have a fucking clue what the price of gas is and then you have to deal with people looking at you all day like you're some kinda alien. Besides the fact that I was raised to be a consumer - so when I need comfort...I instinctively go places that I consciously don't want to go...and it doesn't help that everyone else is already going there on the regular anyway, like it's ok.
Some things are easier for some people than they are others - I have tonnes of friends who grew up outside and I need them for support - there's not a whole lot to go around.

Well what kind of forward thinking women fall for that? That's now women's liberation. That's simply trying to 'keep up with the jones'. If women allow themselves to fall under that pressure, they only have themselves to blame. You don't have to have the biggest house on the block. You don't have to have the newest car. You don't have to have the promotion. Your kids don't have to be in every club and play every sport. You don't have to be the prettiest. If those are a woman's goals, she chose them. If anything, to suggest she's a victim of society's pressures is an insult. That is a set back. Don't go for the brass ring and cry when it's a far reach.

Well...I don't want to offend anyone here. I'm somewhere in between a feminist and "old-fashioned" myself. I don't blame men for the decisions feminists made back in the 1960 & 70s, but I don't think those decisions really hurt men either. As for Palin specifically, I really don't give a shit what she does in her personal life. While I think it's great that some men do pitch in and do housework and other things to benefit their families, I also know that there are many families in which the wife or mother bears the brunt of both domestic chores and bringing home the bacon. I'm not blaming those men, or any men. My husband and I don't have children in the home, so I can't speak for us. I just think it would be nice for a small child to have a parent with them the first few years - and I don't care if it's the mother or the father - because I did and I cherish that because I know how rare it's becoming.
I think society as a whole is putting more pressure on everyone (as angel_i said yesterday) to be super-human beings and complete successes. The following accusations could be completely false, but I’ve heard some crazy/maybe not so crazy things since this news broke, from people who supposedly are/were in high school with Bristol. They say that she is not pregnant. This “pregnancy” is to cover up that she was pregnant with Trig (if she’s “5 months along” she couldn’t have had Trig, as he’s 4 months old), and she will have a “miscarriage” in the coming months. They also say that Trig does not have Down syndrome, but has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome because Bristol was a “party girl.” I don’t know if these things are true, because they do sound kind of outlandish, but I just don’t understand why else a pregnant woman leaking amniotic fluid would give a 30 minute speech in Texas, then fly 8 hours to Alaska, and then drive 45 minutes to give birth to a preemie in a hospital that is not equipped to deal with risky births.
---------------------------
It's really not that crazy. AT.ALL.
When I heard about the disabled child I thought 2 things:
1. The child is Palin's and has down's because she's 44 and the story in the past has been that the odds of that happening increase as a woman gets closer to menopause.
2. I thought "Fetal Alcohol Syndrome" if the child is indeed Bristol's. How else does a relatively healthy 16 year old have a child like that? By gross neglect of their own body and endangerment of the child. Genetic disorders nothwithstanding.
Finally, judging from the picture, its hard to say which one is Bristol - both girls need to drop about 20lbs. Too many Moose burgers.
And I will forever be pissed that Palin lobbied to keep Polar Bears off the endangered species list so they drill for oil. Apparently, the life of fetus is more important than the lives of an entire species. Selfish stepford rot in hell!!
Oh and am done defending this twat, I am going in to the shower with a bottle of clorox and a bar of Borax....
