Who's Going To Play Bristol Palin?
So guess what? Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has announced that her 17-year-old daughter Bristol is knocked up! This is too fucking perfect. Bristol is 5-months pregnant.
Dear Lifetime, you have found your next movie! Let's see, Jamie Lynn Spears can play Bristol, for obvious reasons. I mean, she's already done research on the role. Tina Fey and Megan Mullaly are too good to play Sarah. I know, Patricia Heaton's evil ass can play her. She would be perfect.
Anyhypocritey, this exciting news continues on from the rumor I posted about yesterday, which was that Sarah faked a pregnancy and pretended to have given birth to a boy named Trig Paxton Van Palin. The rumor was that Trig was actually Bristol's child and that Sarah was his memaw.
Sarah made the announcement today about her daughter being with child to shoot down rumors that she faked her own pregnancy to hide the family shame known as Bristol. So Bristol couldn't have been pregnant with 4-month-old Trig, because she was too busy being pregnant with her own kid. Bristol's got an alibi! I think we found a co-author for Lynne Spears' next book on parenting.
Sarah issued a statement and said that Bristol is planning on keeping the child and marrying the wonderful father, Levi. Sarah goes on to say “Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows that she has our unconditional love and support. Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family." The Palin family has also asked for privacy during this time. Yeah, good fucking luck with that. And do you blame Bristol? Where else is there to do in Alaska besides make babies and skin trout?
I just can't wait to see what other scandals the Republicans may bring. Who knows, maybe Sarah is the one who is knocked up and Bristol is just returning the favor. Expect to see Sarah's ass in mumus and leaky titties. Or maybe McCain will announce he's a hermie. Or Cindy McCain will give birth to a pharmacist (yeah right, in her Vicodin dreams). Let me tell you, the possibilities on this are endless.

Honestly. I think the world is in such a state that it couldn't hurt. We're so deep in it - we gotta start somewhere.
That's part of my rant, yesterday, about all this running around we do to "keep up with the Joneses"...It drives me crazy...we don't have famine (not really - we throw out obscene amounts of food on the daily), we don't have plague (we have cancer and AIDS but we have gained some control there) and we don't have war (we had an incident - the war is all the way over there - my kid can't even begin to fathom what war looks like), and the entire world has been discovered, conquered, exploited and built upon. I do believe we live in what's called: The land of plenty. So why all the strife still? What's the rush all the time?
People might wanna talk about terrorists but taht shit is always and forever going to be ongoing. Occupying a country and making life hell for it's inhabitants is not really the best answer. Banding together as good against evil - prepared for attacks, and watching each other's backs makes sense to me. It's got to be hard to spend time and money on that when you're so busy with war...
Seriously, I don't get it - we could be a lot happier, in general - we have everything we need.

So, with all that, we are not aloud to question or inquire about her family? We are SEEING THEM EVERYWHERE.
And finally, to make generalizations about teen pregnancy and in some deluded way, the Republican camp is justifying this Drama by candy coating the whole of it with some "strong family value, supportive, blah blah blah" coating, why is it not being brought up that this family is living in the most unique of circumstances, NOT LIKE other families out there. These people are not living the normal life. Why is it that it's supposed to be acceptable but supposed to be ignored and shouldn't be discussed? If this had been Chelsea Clinton, The Bush daughters, (surprised those little twats weren't involved in more scandals), we would be doing the same thing. These people CHOOSE this life, their children do not, however, they are now part of the public domain, that equals, FAIR GAME. Maybe The Palin clan should have thought this through a bit more.

The movie version of IT is very different to the book. Admittedly the book is more frightening and probably more enjoyable overall, but the film is still brilliant.
You should watch it just for Tim's performance alone!
Oh, and Misery is another favourite of mine - the book and the film. Read the book first, then see the film. You'll instantly develop a new found appreciation of Kathy Bates. I've never seen a character brought to life from a book in the way that Bates plays Annie Wilkes.
The only problem with King's books - besides the fact that some are pure shite - is that he does go on and on and on at times. A particularly sinister looking leaf on a tree can have three pages dedicated to its description.
