John McCain has just chosen some chick named Sarah Palin as his running mate. She's the governor of Alaska or something like that. I don't know her deal. I think she's anti-anything fun. But that's not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about her beauty pageant past!
Sarah was Miss Wasilla 1984. She won second place in the Miss Alaska contest, but was voted Miss Congeniality. Miss Congeniality basically means you're homely but you smile a lot. Sarah played the flute during the talent portion. THE FLUTE?! It's Alaska! Shouldn't she have skinned a trout or danced with a grizzly bear? No wonder she lost. I did a quick search on YouTube, but couldn't find shit from the pageant. I'm sure shit will come up in the next few days.
And and I thought Heidi Montag was locked as McCain's VP?

Earlier I watched a portion of her acceptance speech for the run for VP. I have to say she did get my attention when she admitted that it wasn't her "life dream or goal" to be in politics but it simply started out with the PTA and built up from there.
How many times have we wanted someone in office that "understood" what the day to day grind of our lives are, not that manufactured politics of these old rich guys (that were born privileged) that already have money and are looking to protect it. It just seemed refreshing listening to someone like that, not the tailored speeches that seem to be the norm.
Meh, I've had a couple of beers so maybe I'm a little off my rocker right now, but I don't think so...
McCain looks like a damn joke right now! McCain and Palin look like they're running for presidents of a high school class.
One question: Does she look more presidential than Biden? I don't think so. THAT'S DEBORAH HEATON!
McCain still doesn't "get it". People were voting for Hillary and Obama as people, not as tokens. Palin is a token female.
Oh yeah, and last week I had a client who, among other things, had been raped by her brother and had to get a hysterectomy at age 20 because he gave her 2 different STDs that went untreated from AGE SIX to 20... I suppose if he'd impregnated her, she would have been "weak" to abort the baby? May I suggest anyone who thinks so work my job for a week, if you can hack it. There are some truly fucked-up sickos out there and a lot of women (and their fetuses) suffer the consequences of being fathered by a schizo bastard or raped by his offspring.

After doing a little research, the new VP choice appears to be a home run. Palin is definitely a woman who kicks ass and takes name, preferably ones with an (R) behind it. Both parties could use a person like that, those who "out" their own for corruption and misuse of office. Good for her.
Finally, someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
Most people are just spewing BS, without knowing anything about her or what she's done. She vetoed a bill that would bar same sex couples from receiving benefits, which effectively granted State of Alaska benefits to same-sex couples.
People are bitching about experience - can you tell me, exactly what experience does Obama have? She's running to Vice President, he's running for President.
If experience was really an issue, Hillary would be the Democratic nominee (which, she should be, but that's another argument) This woman fought against corruption, in her own party! That alone makes her more qualified than most crooks in Washington.
This is going to be my only comment on the issue, because it's really not worth it to argue over something like this, especially on a gossip blog. People have their minds made up and nothing I say will change that. I just think people should know the facts before making some statements.

It's funny that you think I'm an Obama Maniac (I was actually rooting for Hillary) but you can't pull your head out of your ass long enough to see that McCain has no problem compromising his IDEALS to placate his party, so that they will finally accept him. You must be right to say that Palin is fresh and new and therefore will be different. How? She's still against a woman's right to choose, she's all for busting up our few untouched National Wildlife Reserves for the sake of searching for oil instead of focusing on renewable sources of energy (her husband's an oiler, btw, and would very likely profit from this), Against gay people having the same rights as any one else. I agree, It´s quite disturbing how most people don´t have a clue how ecosymstems function. People seriously believe that unless natural predators are "controlled" by humans, they will just eat up all their prey!!!
There´s one reserve in my country where the arctic fox is not allowed to be hunted (although there are still some fucking assholes who break that rule) and there are people that claim that the species is ruining the birdlife in the area! To that I always say, the fox was here long long before the humans arrived, do people think that there wasn´t any birdlife back then? And if so, how the hell could the foxes have survived if they had eaten up all their prey??? It´s just so stupid...
