Some Catholic cardinal is getting all bitchy with Ricky Martin because he used a surrogate mother to carry his twin boys.
The cardinal of Honduras compared the way Ricky became a father to raising cattle. Oscar Andres Rodriguez said: "What Martin did diminishes the dignity of a human being. You can't just buy or rent life. It's even worse when someone famous and in the public eye is doing it." Um....does Cardinal Oscar know about Saint Angelina? He's probably been warned by the powers above not to say anything bad about her or else he may disappear in a cloud of smoke!
Cardinal Oscar isn't the only one who thinks Ricky Martin is a sinner. Mexican talkshow host Esteban Arce said: “Ricky, the truth is that’s it’s bad. I don’t support or applaud him. He’s a degenerate, and I feel sorry for those kids. I don’t think it’s right to deny children of maternal figures, just because you have a big ego. These kids are going to be raised without mothers."
Whatever. Ricky is going to be a wonderful mother. Who says you need to be raised by two parents to turn out right? I mean, my father didn't help raise me and look how I ---- bad example.

Religion aside... when did having a baby become like shopping for a new puppy? I totally understand COMMITTED couples who have been unsuccessful at conveiving on their own trying alternative meathods, but that's only a fraction of the of the cases we see these days. Okay, so your a single male and can't make a baby on your own... go adopt one of the millions of parentless children and provide a loving home to them. Our society strongly promotes adopting dogs and cats before breeding or buying from a puppy mill/pet store, but isn't that exactly what RM is doing? It's just a uterus instead of a puppy mill.
I would rather see Ricky Martin as a mother then I would Jenna Jameson any day
The Catholic church should just shut the F up. No other organisation in history has done so much to mess people up. The priests and bishops need to let the little molested boys out of it's church closets.
I sure hope that Ricky is doing it for the right reason and not to revive his fledging career by way of extra publicity. He wouldn't be the first to use his children as props for photo ops.

Eh, I think people who use in vitro and spend thousands of dollars to have baby are selfish and egotistical as well.(Relative did in vitro with hubby, bitch has a beard now, they spent tens of thousands of dollars to have one child) There are hundreds of thousands of children who need a homes. If I had the resources I'd adopt before I would have another child. That's just me and my two cents.
I don't think Ricky will be a bad parent but I can see why he is being criticized for what he did. It seems we are moving away from the traditional family unit in a huge way. Why bond and create a family when you can use a surrogate(men) or sperm donation(women)?

Ricky Martin seems to be one of the most sincere and real 'celebs' ever. He spends MASSIVE and I mean MASSIVE amounts of time doing charity work and donating his time and resources to fight for causes he feels close to. I just want to say that I´m a religious christian who knows her bible and I get a nauseous feeling everytime I see people doing all these egocentric things for their own glorificatin all the time (i.e. Brangelina), like having babies and selling their pics, basing their self-identy on their sexuality and stuff like that.
