Dr. Dre Has Lost A Son
Sad news this afternoon. Dr. Dre's 20-year-old son passed away over the weekend. Andre Young Jr. was found by his mother Saturday morning at their home in Woodland Hills, CA.
Andre was out with his friends the night before and came home at around 5:30 in the morning. His mother called the paramedics when she couldn't wake him. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
An autopsy was performed yesterday in Los Angeles. Andre's cause of death is not known at this time.
Dr. Dre's rep confirmed the news to People: "Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son. Please respect his family's grief and privacy at this time." Sadness.
Rest in peace, Andre Young Jr.

....AMEN!! RIP Dre Jr. Losing a loved one is horrible, especially when it's sudden.

My dad died when I was 15. Then when I was about 21 or so I had a lump on my neck and the doctor told my mom it was Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
She told me that the thought of having me die was worse than losing her husband. And she worshipped my father.
I cannot imagine anything worse than losing a child.

I read that this morning too. Was the kids mother a groupie or something? There's no mention of the mother or if he had "dated" her vs a one night stand...was just wondering 'cause the rest of the kids mothers' are mentioned but not this one

Dr. Dre's son, Andre Young, Jr., was found dead at 10:24am August 23, 2008. According to reports, Andre Jr. returned home early in the morning on Saturday and was later found unresponsive by his mother. The cause of death is deferred pending test results done by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office
