Super Tommy Girl!
Tommy Girl in a superhero movie? Unless it's "Supergirl" and he's in the title role, I'm not interested. I mean, he has the costume for it and everything.
Instead of following his destiny by playing "Supergirl," Tommy Girl will star in DC Comics "Sleeper" for Warner Bros. Sam Raimi will produce this mess. Warner Bros. is also hoping to turn it into a franchise. Currently no writer or director is attached to the project.
The Hollywood Reporter has more details on this shit fest:
Written by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Phillips, "Sleeper," which ran from 2003-05, centers on an operative whose fusion with an alien artifact makes him impervious to pain and allows him to pass it on to others through skin contact. He is placed undercover in a villainous organization by an intelligence agency and falls for a member of the group, named Miss Misery.
Alien artifact? Are we sure this isn't called "The Tommy Girl" story? That synopsis sounds like it was ripped from the pages of his future autobiography.
Screw Tommy and his stupid movies! Suri is the one that should be on the silver screen. Look at her in these pictures below. She's the star of that family!

Call me crazy, I like the guy. I think the media spins him into something that he's not and the sheep of the masses just eat it up and believe it. They do the same thing with Jennifer Anniston. The media has images they want of celebrities (crazy Tom, desperate Jennifer, angry psycho Rosie, saintly Angelina, etc) and the actual celebrities very rarely fit that reality. The except may be douches like Heidi Montag and Spencer whatever their names are and the likes. I think they are every bit the fame hungry whores they are portrayed as.
I wish Tom would do more to combat the bad press he gets, but it's hard to stop that moving train. I'd like to see more modern unedited interviews with him so I could get a feel for what he's really like.

Betcha the alien artifact is called a thetan, and our hero is saved by the magic power of Scientology. Seriously, nobody is gonna take this tiny grinning weirdo seriously as a superhero, especially since the Sleeper would require some serious acting chops.
He's been riding on the whole "wholesome American hero" thing for years, but frankly it's getting old. He hasn't got the intensity and presence of a Bale, the acting power of a Downey Jr, or even the youthful energy of a Maguire. That, and he's short and has an increasingly feminine body.
I betcha this movie becomes another "Punisher."
And personally I think Suri is rather plain. She was a little cute as a baby but as she grows she's becoming a deeply unexceptional-looking little girl, much like her mom.
Ugh. As a tried and true comic-book geek, Sleeper is an excellent read.... I just hate the idea of Tommy Girl getting his alien dick juice all over something like that.... WANTED, was crap to begin with, so having A. Jolie in it actually made it more interesting to me.... Tommy Girl, not so much.....
