America Ferrera Is Really Hot
Ugly Betty vs. Serena van der Woodsen! The Soup made fun of this hot clip from "Good Day LA" of America Ferrera and Blake Lively promoting that movie about a pair of pants with a lot of frequent flier miles.
The hos at Good Day asked Blake about "Gossip Girl" and America's facial expressions are fucking priceless throughout the whole thing. America starts out with just taking her frustrations out on her fingers and then she can't take it anymore, so she gives Blake the evil side-eye AND the eye-roll. Double whammy!
She was also playing with her fingers to keep herself from slapping Blake in the teeth. I have a new found respect for Ugly Betty.

It's a tad racy but nothing they're not already exposed to. My guess is the primary demo is 15-21?

I totally agree with you Mike. I believe the un-professionalism (sp?) came in when the interviewer started asking questions about GG and leaving America out completely. That was just right out rude imo.

Hate both "Gossip Girl" and "Ugly Betty", but I think America Ferrera wasn't really acting that angry or upset. She just looked like she couldn't add to a conversation that wasn't about her. I think too much was being read into that clip, so "The Soup" guy can make a joke of it. :P

Omg, I just saw this on The Soup like, an hour ago. Hilarious! And I sympathize with her, most of those Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 commercials are just shot after shot of Blake Lively, with taglines like "Come see what all the gossip is about!" Barf. Team America. Blake is a gangly bore and will not have a career after Gossip Girl.
I agree all three were a bit unprofessional:
Interviewer: Should ask questions predominantly about topic.
Interviewee answering question: should attempt to redirect back to topic and never stay off topic for as long as she did
Interviewee not being asked: should do best not to look annoyed and sarcastic

I never watch Gossip Girl. Here's the way I see it. I was a teenager, I watched teen shows, there is nothing new under the sun and I have better things to do.

I'm not sure who you're talking about but they're, all three, unprofessional. If she's promoting the Sisterhood then she should not be going on about the goings on in her show. A good interviewee will make every effort to turn conversation back to the topic at hand. Whoever is addressed is usually responsible for that but, quite frankly, the host could have focused the question better.

Gossip Girl seems to be one of those shows that everybody talks about but nobody actually watches. Never seen an episode and the ratings seem to be lackluster at best, based on what I've heard.

I live in NYC and everyone here watches it. That doesn't mean we love it - some people love it just to laugh at. But trust, it's super popular here and we've got a pretty big population... :)
And hey as much as Blake might have been annoying in this clip, do not hat on GG!
I'm a senior in college, but a lot of my friends read the book series in HS (which I think is over now), so our only way to relive it is through the show. It has a huge fan base and I'm sure its guaranteed at least 4-5 seasons. Enough to run the storyline of the series I hope...
Not every show is meant for you. Don't like it. Don't watch it.
I also like a loser read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, so I will be seeing this movie too. It's like they're turning everything I read into a script or screenplay.

there are about 220 million americans age 10-70. Do the math, if only 10% of those people watched a program that would be 22 million viewers. How many TV programs get that size of an audience? VERY FEW.

Just as The Hills and the O.C. brought clueless girls from the heartland thinking that that's what life would be like if they moved to SoCA, so will it bring clueless girls to NYC.

College and high-school kids LOVE Gossip Girl. Don't know if that's enuff to sustain it but it might be.
The two chicks on Good Day LA (Dorothy Lucey and Jillian Barbarie) are perhaps the most annoying talents on TV. Unwatchable. Jillian does this thing where, not matter what the topic--say, the NBA--she manages to turn the topic to herself: "You know, when I was at the Lakers' game last night, I got a call from an agent who..." Dorothy has this hateful Kathleen Turner voice and always talks about her brat kid, "Nash." No, I'm not a fan.

i watched the first episode of gossip girl. by watched i mean the first five minutes then i was gone. America was happy being fat until she hit it big, then somebody showed her the 'ropes'
