Don't Drag Brit Brit Into This!
In boring ass political news, John McCain's stupid new ad compares Barack Obama to Brit Brit Spears and Wonky McValtrex.
If you're going to use footage of Brit Brit, at least use recent video of her looking tore up and carrying a Frapp. Do it right.
And if Obama is like Brit and Wonky, does that mean he doesn't wear panties and is going to give us a crotch shot soon? I'm waiting.....
Thanks Rex

Understand the proper usage of the word you're. It is a contraction, or a combination of the words you and are. Other examples of contractions include doesn't, they're, and can't.
* "You're a good friend." ("YOU ARE a good friend.")
So i should of used "you are education"?? LOL Go make a sandwich!!! Robertoooo

I want to be wowed, too, that's why I vote for Mickey Mouse. One of the people who don the costume in one of the Disney parks would probably do a better job than the candidates we've been forced to choose from.
I think it was Chris Rock who had a bit about we're supposed to vote for the people that are best qualified to do the job, but the people that are the best qualified can't afford to run for President. I agree with that. The ones who can afford it and are qualified, are too smart to screw things up for themselves by running for President.

I get all kinds of wound because people are trying to make this about race. An election should have nothing to do with race or religion or sex. We cannot progress until people move away from the things that hold us back.

lol. Obama is hardly the biggest celebrity in the world.
Robertoo-
Actually, slavery lasted much longer in the USA than in the UK. Ask DAE when the UK abolished slavery.
BTW- when did the UK abolish slavery?
*
The biggest celebrity in the world is Rosie o Donnell ,I mean, she's waaaaay bigger than Obama.
It's a good thing I got a A* on History isn't it? lol ;0) (It's a good thing google's around to help jog the memory too!!)
The Abolition of the Slave Trade Act was passed 1807 & British sea captains were charged £100 for every slave found on board. The captains got over this problem by having the slaves thrown into the sea if they were suspected of transporting slaves.
In 1823, the brand new Anti-Slavery Society was formed.
In 1833, parliament passed the Slavery Abolition Act. The British slaves, finally got their freedom.

Someone is talking about slavery? Lord, how is that related? Oh yes, I guess Obama is black so lets talk about that. There are all sorts of shade of African (you may want to head out there -- Africa), they do not need to be mixed to be lighter. Oh and some of the worse abuse came after our independence. Not before. When in doubt blame another. Oh and even better, I love your argument that just because others did not apologize, American's shouldn't. Lord, the "he started" defense. Wrong is wrong. Oh and btw, the EU and even our House of Reps (less strongly) has apologized for slavery, just not the type of apology that can get it into legal trouble.
Kizzy, Mickey Mouse, hah? I want one of them to wow me. I guess I will wait for the debates... ____________________________________________

as for info, try google
The Slave Trade Act (citation 47 Geo III Sess. 1 c. 36) was an Act of Parliament of the Parliament of the United Kingdom passed on 25 March 1807, with the long title "An Act for the Abolition of the Slave Trade". The original act is in the Parliamentary Archives. The act abolished the slave trade in the British Empire, but not slavery itself; that had to wait for the Slavery Abolition Act 1833

jussayin..
Yeah, and even after slavery was abolished this country basically still tried to "enslave" black people through racism, Jim Crow laws, etc.
I am not accusing anyone here of being racist, just agreeing that slavery is part of our history, as is racism, and racism is still an issue to this day, one I hope gets resolved. That and sexism.
Actually, everything that is hateful should go away.

@Vany,
I don't pay much attention to celebrity endorsements for politicians. Not to say they do not know what they are talking about, some do and some don't, but I think that when they have have it well for a few years they tend to loose sight of the needs of "everyday person". For stars that are politically knowledgeable I tend to lean still more towards the Democrats. In the end it is really all about money and how it gets spent. Republicans lean toward military spending and I lean toward domestic spending. I believe that our country will be made stronger by education and that it will reflected in future generations. Either way, It is going to be a hard road for us to hoe with a 480 trillion dollar deficit.

Oh and when I said I was not an obama supporter... I mean that I have been suspect since Oprah blessed his ass -- after all -- she loves all the scientologists, "Dr." Phil and Rachel Ray -- not exacly a good judge of character.
Then again --Mc Cain flip flops, hires Bush personnel and courts the extreme right.
I may not vote.
I'm not even in the USA and I'm sick of hearing about the presidential campaign. How much longer before the damn vote?
Voting is compulsory in Australia and you get fined if you don't turn up at the polling booth on the day - proof is my fine is sitting right here on my desk. I was in San Diego on hols and an American said to me "I hear you have a new Head of State" and I thought to meself, "WTF is a Head of State??? - ah, dick means Prime Minister" then FUCK I forgot to vote - SHIT I'm gonna get fined.

Thankyou! That makes sense.
I know a lot of people of lighter persuasion, shall we say, that voted for Bush or voted Republican because that's what their parents did and other crap like that. I can't see any common sense reason why else we have had to deal with the man for 8 years. I'm not going to say *cough* election stealing* but hmmm, I do remember a big stench of bullshit 4 and 8 years ago too.
And we Blacks have been notorious for voting Democratic for years, this is nothing new or earth shaking. It isn't as much about Obama being Black as you might think. On the other hand, when I see a charming, articulate and compassionate Black man running for Supreme Leader of the land, especially a land that used to whip the shit out of people who looked like him, I really want to do everything I possibly can to see him win.
And if I could have voted for Shirley Chisholm I would have! I also wish Condoleeza would run over McCain...
