A Couple Of Kiddie Flicks
Above is the trailer for "Harry Poter and Blah...Blah...Blah" and below is the teaser trailer for Disney's "The Princess and the Frog."
I haven't seen a Harry Potter movie since the first one. I know, I'm totally alone on that one. That shit puts me to bed! When I went to see the first one, I was in dreamland before the beginning credits finished. Harry Potter puts me to sleep faster than an orgasm. Unless DanRad shows us his skin wand in this shit, I'm not interested. This crap comes out in November.
Now onto "The Princess and the Frog" trailer. Disney is the root of all evil, but this trailer made me feel like a giddy 8-year-old girl again. That's until the firefly with the jacked up teefs started talking. Um...that made me feel a bit uncomfortable. This shit comes out Christmas 2009.

Kinda excited to see that Disney hasn't given up completely on their hand-drawn cartoons. When I was five, my mom threw me a Little Mermaid themed pool party with amazing goodie bags and a kick-ass cake. I was the coolest bitch in kindergarten.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince trailer looks pretty good. Yes, I'm a nerd in her twenties who reads children's books.
I'm a complete kid at heart. So I thought the Princess trailer was cute!

My favorite Disney movies came during the studio's brief 80s dark period when it produced "The Watcher In The Woods", "Dragonslayer", "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and "Return To Oz". I mean, the princess in "Dragonslayer" is eaten by baby dragons.
Now if someone would just do live-action adaptations of "The Secret World of Og" and "The Last Unicorn", I can die a contented man.

The books are EXCELLENT .. I've read them all except the last one, I haven't gotten around to yet .. but the storyline is completely engrossing.
The movies .. ehh.. they're all right, but you really need to have read the books to get
anything out of them. They leave a LOT of shit out, of course, they have to, but they are nowhere near as good on their own.
I am in awe of JK Rowling. She deserves her billion dollar empire. That is really some story she dreamed up.
Try the audio versions on CD read by Jim Dale.

I've never seen the Harry Potters or read the books. I'd be more likely to read them. One of these days.
