82-year-old Jerry Lewis was making his way through security at Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport when they discovered an unloaded gun in his carry-on. They probably wanted to ask Jerry, "Is that a gun or you just happy to see me," but I'm pretty sure Jerry's "gun" hasn't been cocked in a while.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Jerry said he didn't realize he had a gun in there. He told security that family members had used his bag. When all else fails, blame your family.
Jerry was only cited for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
Boo! Airport security really missed an opportunity to give the world an amazing mug shot. They should have called the police and had his pepaw ass arrested. That mug shot would have been tore up! The stuff mug shot dreams are made of!

ITA. I wonder if SF will be letting go of some tension soon. I'm moving to SF in December. Not the best time to be moving to SF but the best time to be moving from Central Cali where it's 120 degrees in the shade and there isn't any shade. Which probably explains why we can't get the fire near Yosemite extinguished ... the grass is just too dry and we don't have enough water.

I'm not surprised about the gun. He has been telling the same story for years about how he was going to kill himself and had the gun on the bathroom sink but stopped when he heard his son in the hall. A few years later he told the same story in an interview and said he heard his daughter in the room and put down the gun because he had so much to live for. Maybe he thinks Frankie and Dino are still gonna get him.
