Ummm.....errr.....well.....um....the colors on her t-shit are pretty? I can't! What in Jack Skellington hell is going on with Vadge?! Is she injecting roids directly into her face now? You and I must be soul-sisters. Good gawd and NO KIDDING! I soo lived the same shit you dealt with. Damn! I just wanna give you a (((HUG))) so bad. I think for some people it's just impossible to understand how cruel, evil and psycho a mother can be to their own child. My mom was great on putting on the appearance of 'normality' but if we stepped out of line she was of the mind that you get your pants pulled down and beat the shit out of you to humiliate you. Ugh.
Madonna creeps me out. She's definitely "OUT THERE"...as far as her parenting skills? I can't judge and probably nobody else can either. My mother was a MASTER at disguising her cruelty to my younger sister and I. Children who deal with that kind of shit are either strong and refuse to be broken or they get broken and end up fucked up mentally for life.

Wow - I think you're remembering more about my mom post than my affinity for Wicca. My mom's just like that and you know what? She is never ever ever going to see it that way. I cannot tell you how many hoops I jumped through over how many years to try and make her happy (with me).
The upside is that all that hard work led to me a place where I really know myself. And once I knew myself I could see that she wasn't even really angry with me...she wasn't even really looking at me. She was looking at some ghost from her past (?), in her head (?), I don't know - but all that DRAH-MA has nothing really to do with me. It's just that, as her kid, I was available and vulnerable from the get-go. And after a while, it just becomes a habit. And because she refuses to do the work it takes to break that habit, I walked away.
She's my mother so it just hurts too much. It fucks with my ability to live fully. At some point you have to make a choice - you can either sacrifice yourself to it or break away and try to get at something more. In a way, I like to think that's what she would want if she could think clearly enough.
Did I mention not to get me started? Ah well, the damage is done then. Onward.
ONT: It's so hard to tell in these situations what anyone's home life is like. It's not exactly the most *natural* of environments.

True. Here I am an hold hag and "mommy meanest" still haunts me and fucks with my head. I got to let go. Her Karma is worse than any fate I'd wish on anyone. She's living it now but I just wish She's see herself for what she really is...a MONSTER (and I don't use that term lightly).
