He played in a movie a long time ago w/ Powers Boothe in it and a lady...I can't remember who. The movie was about an endangered bird egg and Rutger played a simpleton. He was soooooooo good! Great movie...Hate I can't remember the name though. Loved him also in Ladyhawke w/ Michelle Pheiffer.

I saw it in the movies back in the day and I have the DVD. One of my all time favorites! I also liked the movie he was in where he was blind and he was kicking arse big time.

This man oozes class. He is the perfect gentleman. He called my work a few years ago when I worked at a resort and I told him I have been a fan since Blade Runner, and he was very very kind and sweet. More actors should take a note from him.
He is the immortal hotness not to mention an unnervingly charming actor in the same vein as Christopher Walker and Harry Dean Stanton...sweet and simultaneously sinister.

I liked him in "Inside the Third Reich" even though the series did gloss over much of what Albert Speer did. He was also good in "Escape from Sobibor".
I looooved him in The Hitcher. I first saw that film at the drive-in when it was originally released in 1986 (I was about 7 years old) & it scared the hell outta me. But now as an adult, well, I'd totally fuck John Ryder's crazy ass. I think Blade Runner is probably one of his best performances. I always shed a tear at the end when he "dies".
Nighthawks? Does it have anything to do with the Edward Hopper painting?

"Nighthawks" was great - both Rutger & Sly were really really good looking then....
I loved Nighthawks! I remember it had a great soundtrack and Sly's acting was actually good in it (long time ago tho, man do I feel OLD).
