Batman's Out
Christian Bale has been released from jail after being questioned by police for more than four hours. Batman bailed out, but he has to return in September for more fun. Christian was arrested earlier today after his mommy and sissy filed an assault claim against him last night.
TMZ reports that Christian might have been arrested for verbally assaulting his mom. Apparently, in England there is such thing as Class 4 and 5 verbal assault. Class 4 is verbal assault with "an intent to cause alarm."
Fuckity fuck! You can get arrested for yelling at a bitch? If they have that shit here, I'm doomed. Death Row, here I come!
UPDATE: Christian's spokesbitch released this statement to People: "Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."

Supposedly, they were drunk, being loud, and tried to crash in his hotel room, where his wife and daughter were. They were yelling about him thinking he was hot shit and big shot and he should take care of his own.

He didn't verbally threaten her. He did not issue any threat. You didn't read closely enough. It says "to cause alarm" which can range from anything, such as "No, you're not getting any more of my money" to "You look fat in those jeans". Bottom line, Scotland Yard questioned him and released him without any charges being filed. This was bogus. He did nothing wrong.

i really don't care about bale one way or the other, but after reading some of the comments on the first thread about the arrest...i will only point out that *verbal assault* can be quite threatening...
i had a situation where my former boyfriend having had too much to drink and for other reasons unnecessary to this story, was verbally assaultive and abusive to me one evening so much so that i locked the bedroom door to 'escape' and he used a kitchen knife to pry the door open, he followed me into a large walk in closet....i felt EXTREMELY threatened even though he did not lay a hand on me...i finally grabbed my cell phone and told him, 'if you don't leave this room and leave me alone, i will call 911' to which he laughed, taunted me and well, as you can imagine, i did just that....the cops arrived within 5 minutes and i was totally relieved when they showed up...
all you people blowing off 'assault' as much ado about nothing (apart from battery) are blowing smoke out your ass
i don't know what went on with bale and his mom/sis but if it was anything close to what i experienced, i totally understand their feeling of need for protection
he takes himself way too seriously. he was more pleasant as laurie in little women.
