We need to get our terms straight. Racism is not exactly the same things as bigotry or prejudice.

Racism is a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular racial group, and that it is also the prejudice based on such a belief.
Therefore that Latinos cannot be "racist amongst each other" because they are all from the same race.

Maybe they all hate each other, or one nationality thinks it is better than another, but that isn't racism.

They give the rest of us hard working latin american sluts a terrible rep. Most of us chileans have fair skin, are tall and even blonde (because we're mostly mutts, german, italian,etc). It sucks when you are coming into the US thru customs and they give you the evil eye.

Migraineuse: You know what's the craziest about all this race (not heritage) controversy: that Latinos are very racist amongst each other.
I find Cubans, Colombians, Dominicans, Venezuelans, Argentinians, Chileans and Uruguayans to be the worse ones. That's not to say that EVERY person from such mentioned countries IS a racist but from my own experience, they are THE most racist ones.

I know. I just think "indigenists" are a bit weird. Most Hispanic people are of both Native American and Spanish blood, so what are they supposed to do, split themselves in half or something?

In Cuba there are people from every ethnic background: African, Indian, European. They don't seem to draw distinctions about people based on what percentage of them is what. They're all just Cuban. Many of them are strikingly handsome or beautiful. Though I don't think Eva is. She's too mannish for my taste.
