Here is the thing about Richie, in my humble opinion.... She, like so many women in Hollywood, is an addict. She was addicted to heroin for how long? Then she was anorexic. Now she is still (clearly) anorexic because her body is that of a 12 year old boy's and she is also addicted to the idea of being portrayed as a mother and a sweet, charitable human being.

But let's be real here. Richie is still a crazy, crackhead who is just looking for her next high. She lives her life for other people's aproval because she never had aproval from her parents. She is insecure and its sad. I wouldn't trade places with her in a second.

But if you insist on taking it personally because you can't stand anyone criticizing a celebrity that you apparently like, that's your choice. I have to wonder what brings you to Dlisted, though, since this is clearly *not* a celebrity worship site.

Many of us have celebrities that we do like, despite our critical views of celebrities in general. But in those cases there's usually some justification for the liking. I don't see a whole lot of support for other celebrity drunk drivers/vapid useless twats, for example. If you want to worship Nicole Richie that's up to you, but whining because someone else doesn't support you unconditionally is absurd. Defending Nicole Richie is just a step above defending the likes of Paris Hilton or Britney Spears - once in a while someone will do it, but even they have the sense to know that theirs is not the majority opinion and that others will disagree strongly.

There is no point in whining at people who don't agree with you, or trying to go around recruiting other posters to start shit against that person. That is stupid high school shit. Suck it up, move on, and quit taking other people's opinions so personally.

I agree with Tigerlilly; the poster is good people and definitely not a troll. And again, IMHO, there's a difference between making a general statement which we can't prove was made toward anyone personally, and making a VERY personalized statement against another poster's sexuality. I myself was attacked by that person the other day for daring to criticize Christie Brinkley's husband for downloading porn in his childrens' room. Instead of just stating his/her differing opinion, he/she told me I should be wearing a burka or some shit like that.
