Christina Applegate's Boyfriend Found Dead
Christina Applegate's boyfriend of 2 years, Lee Grivas, was found dead in his apartment on July 1st. The National Enquirer reports that the 26-year-old died from an apparent heroin overdose. An official cause of death has not been issued, of course.
A source said that Christina is "absolutely devastated over the sudden loss." I'm sure that's an understatement.
TMZ confirms the death and claims a neighbor found him.
The two met in 2006 while Christina was doing "Sweet Charity" on Broadway and still married to Johnathon Schaech. Christina and Lee broke up several times, because of his drug problems and she "couldn't stand by and watch him ruin his life." Lee was a fisherman, photographer and skateboarder.
Damn, he was young. Sadness.

Oh okay I figured. I was just progressing from shitting in a diaper when he died, so I have no idea what went on during. I'm glad in a way. I know if I did, I would have reacted the way I did when George Carlin died. And lets just say it was BAD. lol
Yeah whoever took that coffin pic was a piece of shit, and he will get his comeuppance, if he didn't already. The pic didn't circulate the net until about 2 years ago. Odd.

I've only ever seen River's coffin pic myself - quite a wakeup to see what became of that beautiful 23 year old boy.
Blame the Children of God cult for River's downfall, not sure what Lee Grivas' demons were, but I'm sure depression played a part. RIP

Yeah I know all about the Rio story, although he was a farrrrr cry from "loser." HE was actually a big loss. But I have to say, I've seen thousands of river pictures but I never saw one from the night at the Viper Room. Can you find it for me? I'm trying to avoid looking at the coffin picture so I can't do it myself.

Unfortunately, it was outside on the sidewalk, with plenty of people, including Joaquin, standing right there. There are pictures, and I distinctly remember one where Joaquin is trying to shield River from somone taking pictures. The panic and horror on his face is why I remember it.

If I remember correctly she was close friends with him, was out with him that night. They got kicked out of the club when he passed out. The club carried him out to the sidewalk. She was left with him like that on the street, no one calling 911.

I used to read them, too, they were the go-to site for ParisJailWatch and BritneyCrazyWatch, but they have gone way too far with the sleaze. And considering Harvey Levin is gayer than "Zorro the Gay Blade", I could not understand or tolerate the anti-gay stances. The misogynist slant on most stories is what finally did it in for me, it's not just a few women, or women that do things really stupid, it was toward all women, and that offends the hell out of me.

I have little sympathy for addicts either, but I'm human enough not to wish them dead. Unless they're huge assholes too, but most addicts are just people who suck at life, not trying to ruin the lives of others.
Kizzy - I used to read them every so often despite the yellow journalism, but it's become intolerable. Joe Francis probably bought them, they've become so sleazy.

I'm sick of the way they promote scumbags like Joe Francis and try to smear the nanny that's suing Rob Lowe - as if celebrities didn't have enough advantages versus the rest of us in a courtroom.
