On a completely unrelated note, remember a blind item someone posted on the comments last week that said an actor with an a-list name with a b-list talent had a girlfriend and beat her up all the time and she was pregnant and didn't know what to do cause she loved him? I might be wrong but when I read "Jason Lee scientologist" that came to mind. Just a thought..

I must have a thing for the underdogs. I'm not at loonie level yet, but I might be on Team Haim. He seems to be keeping clean and out of trouble. So he never learned to not kiss and tell. sad. It's finally registering in his head that maybe being attached to Feldman at this stage is poison to his life and career.

Those are all the pets I've had in my lifetime, I'm 35, will be 36 in August. Those angels saw me through growing up, boyfriends, car accidents, death of family and friends, they were always there for me with love. Moose is truly addicted to waffles, he will get on the table,(the only time he does) and get between you and the plate. You ain't gettin' none til he does, LOL. I know it's bad for him, but he is so happy to have it. They bring so much to our lives, and ask so little.

Mine are cats, but the love and loyalty is the same. They are precious little angels in fur coats. Anybody who doesn't believe cats and dogs have souls has never looked into the eyes of one. My favorite quote "Heaven would not Heaven be, without my friends there to greet me." I don't remember who wrote that, but I know I got it out of a book of compilations of poets writing about their cats. The majority of the "classical greats" had pets, and wrote about them.

Kizzy.. Oh gosh, You've been thru so much.. And who doesn't like waffles. I'm eating one right now, and using one as an ass pillow. lol. My doggie is a bit over weight too. He has arthiritis, can't move sometimes, farts, growls, takes pain pills like me.. All I want to do is make him happy tho.

Thank you, dolly, you are so sweet. I'm crying, it's so hard to lose that precious soul you love so much. I'm going to have to do it again in a few weeks with Footz, and while I'm trying to prepare, there's no way to really prepare. This will be the 3rd cat in my lifetime. Kitty was my childhood cat, I had her from the time I was 5. She lived to be 18. That was hard. Yoda I only had 8 years, he was overweight. Footz is 12. Thank God his sister Molly is still ok, knock on wood and please God let it be so. Moose is 7, but he's overweight, he's addicted to waffles.

Mel-Tang: I'm so sorry! My family had 2 dogs growing up, & both had to be put down for medical reasons. I had a Sheltie for many years (the only thing I got out of my ex- in our divorce), & he was very old. He ran away 2 years ago on one of the coldest days of the year. Many people think he ran away to die. I have always hoped someone found him, & brought him inside so he didn't freeze to death, & I've always hoped he didn't wander, confused, wondering where I was. As traumatic as your situation will be, I agree with those here that say at least you can be there with your precious pet until the end & let him know how much he is loved.

I'll say a prayer for your both.

Mel. I think you made the best decision to keep him at home. That's where he has lived his life. Just remember him the best you can, and enjoy his life and stay with him while you can until tomorrow. You did your best as a doggie parent.

My vet is coming to the house tomorrow morning. I didn't know whether or not to have it done at the office or at home, and she said it's much more peaceful for the dog to be home.

Oh, doll, I am so very truly sorry. Yes, I had to have my precious Yoda put down, his kidneys had begun failing, and while we did the antibiotic thing, it wasn't working, and he stopped eating. That's when I knew it was time, he was telling me he was done. It broke my heart, and it is so hard, I have tears in my eyes right now, for you, sweetheart, it hurts so bad. It will be easy for your precious doggie, and the suffering will be over. It won't hurt, they'll get a shot, and go to sleep. You'll sit there are talk and rub and love on him the whole time, it will only be a few minutes. You'll know when it's over, and it's okay to still love and cradle him. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, but you know it's the right thing, and your doggie will know you loved him right until the end, the last things he will feel is your love. That's the best you can do for him. That is the only right way to say goodbye to such a dear and treasured friend. My heart is breaking for you honey, it truly is. I wish I could be there to hold your hand, and cry with you. But, know that I am crying with you, all the way from NC.

I did Mel-Tang 4 years ago with my sheltie, the last week was horrible for him, he could not longer walk, and I would inflict pain when I tried to help him by carrying him outside to urinate, or to eat.

Comfort him and yourself by talking to him; and let him know how much you love him and all the happiness that he brought you.

He has been taking Rimadyl (2x a day), Glycoflex treats (4 per day), and Tramadol (6 per day for pain), and he is still lying down most of the day. He cries for me to help him up; it's just too sad for words. My heart is breaking as I've never had to deal with the loss of a pet. Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

Completely off topic, and I apologize for not going into the forum, but I can't get in there. My labrador has extreme arthritis and can't get up on his own anymore. I am devastated and know it's time to put him down, but I am so upset. The vet is going to come to my house today, and I am freaking out. Has anyone ever had to do this? I can't even think straight.
