Don Imus' fat pepaw mouth has gotten him into trouble...again! On his morning show yesterday, Don Imus and his sportscaster were talking about how many times football player Adman "Pacman" Jones has been arrested. Don asked, "What color is he?" His sportscaster said he is African-American and Don responded, "Well, there you go. Now we know."
Don later said he meant Adam was being picked on by the police because of the color of his skin. Don said, "What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason. I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times."
You know he didn't write that response. When you're 200 or 300 years old, common sense doesn't come into play anymore. It goes right out the door along with solid foods!

Umm... I think the apology was as dumb as the first comment seeing as the guy got arrested six times for being a fuck-up six times. This country reveres professional athletes in a way that is ridiculous, so realistically it should be pretty easy for these guys to take their millions and NOT commit arrestable offenses.

Not saying what he said was right, but I doubt the Seton Hall girl's basketball team listens to Imus, or even heard of him or what he said until they got a call from Al Sharpton.
As an aside, when Imus said it, his rating were way down. Nothing like a little controversy to boost ratings.

oh, its definately NOT ok. He is a synicated radio personality and thay comes with a level of responsibility. He was irresponsible to use a term like that and it is offensive.
However I dont think it was something he should have been fired over after making a public apology. And now, like someone said earlier, I think people are just waiting for him to say anything that could be construed as racism because the media got the public so fired up about that story.
My point isnt that Imus is right, or that I support his views or his show, but more that I belive that a few ill-chosen words should not get so much media attention, when there are many race-driven atrocities and unfairness that get no media attention, like the military targeting poor black neighborhoods for recruitments, racial profiling in terms of corrective law actions... I just think the focus is in the wrong place.

However, why is it okay for Sharpton, Jackson, Obama's mentor Reverend Wright, et al to spew their hatred of the white race and say the most vile and racist things for DECADES and nobody holds their feet to the fire.
