Baby Cailynn Is Coming Tomorrow (Maybe)

The National Enquirer is reporting that 17-year-old Jamie Lynn is going to pop out a baby sometime tomorrow. Sources tell them that she had an ultrasound last week that showed her baby may be in the breech position, so the docs decided to schedule her c-section for tomorrow.

Brit Brit, Daddy Spears and the rest of the clan is currently in Kentwood.

I'm a little disappointed to hear that JL is going to give birth in a hospital. I was secretly hoping she would go into labor in the middle of Piggly Wiggly. That would be poetic.

Casey and Jamie Lynn are reportedly having a girl. They are planning to name her a combination of both their names, Cailynn or Cassie. Boring. If they are going to go that route, they should give her a spicier name like Jaca or Seymie.

And everything will be fine now that Brit Brit is there! Jamie Lynn will pop out a healthy baby Jaca and everyone will celebrate over possum fritters and Budweisertinis.

1) i don't have kids but i don't know why you say the c-section is the easy way. i had a minor operation compared to c-section and after the effects of the anesthesia fade it hurt like crazy.

2) why do women have to act like martyrs and why is it bad if jamie lynn thinks it will hurt her less if she has a c-section? why does she have to suffer if she thinks there is an easier way?

--------------------------------------------

1) C-section isn't the easier way, it's the quicker way. People do forget that it's major abdominal surgery and you are out of commission for many days/weeks after the birth. Even holding your baby can be painful. Some celebrities are "too posh to push" and actually go for c-section weeks before their due dates so that they can lessen their chances for stretch marks. If you have a normal pregnancy, it is far better to have a minimally invasive birth, rather than an elective c-section. It's better for you and better for the baby.

2) Funny you should mention that, but in Muslim cultures, motherhood is a form of martyrdom, and there is a saying that "heaven lies beneath the feet of the mother." But I digress...like someone said earlier, you have to place your baby first, even if it means making many sacrifices. If you don't want to sacrifice, don't become a mother. If Jamie Lynn thinks it's easier to have a c-section, well, it's easier for those 15 minutes. It's hell after that. As far as labor and delivery go, I think you should at least give vaginal birth a try. As a woman, your body was meant to handle this. It's a natural function and most people go through it okay, especially in the western world where all the precautions are in place. When you have a natural birth, your body bounces back pretty quickly. Whatever Jamie Lynn decides, she's an idiot if I ever saw one.

Oh yeah, midwifery is very extensive (they've got to go to medical school for about 8 years or more). Midwives are actually more qualified to deliver babies than OBG's.

I know I said I was going, but my best friend and her son both drowned on mothers Day. The boy was 10 and the mom 36. she managed to save the other son age 8, and little daughter age 4 before going under for the last time. the last eyewitness account was she and the 10 yr old son together out in the rip tide before they both went under.
they never recovered the mother or son. Her son was my sons best friend as well and taught him a horrible lesson on death.
Just saying, enjoy them while you can...
Her husband has since remarried, but its been horrible. We basically raised his other kids while he tried to get it together for a year. It makes you appreciate what you have.
Sorry to be off topic~

QC: I was not aware midwives were so well trained.

DAE: When you do, may I recommend you find a good site for expecting moms? I found a great one here in the states -- americanbaby.com where you can register & enter your due date & some other info, & they give you weekly updates on what your baby looks like/can do at each stage. My favorite was when we were informed he could distinguish light. It suggested putting a flashlight on my tummy. He actually turned toward it & reached for it! TOO cool!!!!!

O.K. so my first was breach-I went in for this procedure where they basically beat the crap out of me to get the kid to turn...and he did.

c-sections are not all that good for the baby as they can't naturally and more efficiently get all the shit out of their lungs/airway they need to breath. Do any of these celebretards deliver vaginally? Most of them are probs full of herpes and afraid of blinding their newborn with that hazardous trip down the dirty vessel.

Actually, believe it or not, a lot of midwives are trained to handle that kind of situation. They usually have routes mapped out from your house to the hospital, they're trained in CPR/First Aid, they also know how to use oxygen and all that good stuff to help keep a baby stable if their little heart slows/stops beating until they can get you to a hospital. But of course, home birth is only really advisable if you have a normal pregnancy. If for some reason I'm high risk, I'll go to a birthing center which is almost the same thing as a home delivery (there are midwives there instead of OB/GYN's).

My mom ate nothing but pasta when she was pregnant with me and Italian subs with my brother, lol. She was such a pig. But we came out fine. Well, relatively speaking. And the only reason why my mom didn't listen to her doctor was because she's freaked out by needles so no way was she going to let someone cut her open - unless of course there had been something wrong with me. But the doctor who did her second opinion check up told her there was no real reason for her to have a c-section other than the fact that her original doctor just wanted to hurry up and get the birth done. Hell, she was in labor for 3 weeks with my brother (five centimeters dilated until the third week) and didn't even consider a c-section! Again, my brother was fine so she just said to hell with it - he'll come when he's ready, even if I'm in hella pain.

QC: The only thing that scares me about a home birth is that if something happens (God forbid!), you are not where you can get the help you need. I had one friend whose child pooped before being born, poisoning herself & almost dying. My son's heartbeat started to slow, so they had me on oxygen & sensors on him, in the womb. I was very grateful the docs were there. It might still have been okay, but for me, it wasn't worth taking the chance. (Plus, I was really glad it was the hospital sheets & not mine he was born on -- it's a MESS!)

Lara: I cannot speak for anyone but myself, but I believe that once you become a mom (find out you're pregnant), you do what's best for the baby, & that never stops. You don't drink, you don't smoke, you don't do drugs, you don't eat red meat or blue cheese or Brie. You don't have caffeine if you're an older mom like I was. You take your vitamins, you eat healthy food, you drink your milk, & you follow your doctor's orders to the letter (except for QueenCharisma -- I applaud your mom's sense in following her gut). It's no longer about you.

Agreed. Why that is supposedly the "better" option, I'll never know, but I guess it has to do with a real baby being a real inconvenience rather than actually bringing a new life into the world. You just schedule it like a manicure. And then they wonder how they turn out like Britney or Paris.

Real parents do crazy shit like that. Hollywood moms just coordinate the accessories' outfits to theirs and hold them for the cameras. That's the only time they're with their kids, and certainly the only time they actually TOUCH them. You silly real moms, going through labor, actual parenting, giving meaning to motherhood, these are foreign concepts in Hollywood.
