Bonnaroo Does Not Like Kanye West
The always polite and considerate, Kanye West, pissed off the crowd at the Bonnaroo Musical Festival in Tennessee because his set started two hours late. Kanye and Wino (see below) were busy with a riveting game of Connect 4. The AP reports that Kanye was scheduled for 2:45am, but he didn't go on until 4:25am.
The two hour delay was blamed on Kanye's massive set. The crew had to put together some gigantic Star Trek spaceship shit or something and that's what took so long.
The audience did not approve of the delay and some of them started throwing glow sticks at the stage and shouting "Kanye Sucks!" Glow sticks?! Ravers gone wild! Kanye seriously fucked with their Ecstasy roll and they did not appreciate that. Other whores decided this shit was too late for them, so they shuffled off to sleepy time.
When Kanye finally took the stage, he didn't say shit about being late and didn't apologize. Halfway through his set, most of the crowd ditched his ass to become one with their sleeping bags.
I don't think Kanye even knows how to pronounce the words, "I"m sorry." It doesn't compute.
And I'm sorry, but 4:25am?! You know the crowd was filled with a bunch of crackheads who could care less if Kanye was on stage or Marie Osmond was on stage.

ello tennesseans! not exactly in tenn here, but 20 min from tenn line in alabama. so i'm prob the closest to manchester on the board. i never go to bonnaroo, but get to hear about it every year. a few hundred bucks for a weekend of dirty college hippies from all walks of life has never appealed to me, not even to see elvis rise from the grave to play.

What?! I read that it was because Pearl Jam's set was longer than expected AND they had lots of gear to clear out. So Kanye had to wait to set up his glow-in-the-dark gear. Those hippies are so effing annoying and entitled. But throwing glowsticks is still funny.
I was there and I have to say, I am neither a crackhead nor a hippie, and was a fan of kanye, and therefore excited to see him. However, when everyone there waits over an hour to see what is supposed to be something good and misses other spectacular performances and then the douchebag comes on, no explanation, thank you for waiting, or apology, and gives a pathetic performance, people are going to get mad, crackheads or not. I have to say, I went to a few other shows while we were waiting for him to come on, and then we went back around 5 because we were intrigued, and he was LAME so we left after 3 songs. I used to respect kanye and even appreciate his ridiculous ego, now i know that he's a douchebag that should keep to the studio.
I wasn't there, but I heard it really fucked up his show too because it's all glow-in-the-dark or whatever but, you, at 4:25, the sun is coming up. So the crazy light effects were totally lost.
What the fuck is wrong with this guy? Seriously.

Hey Possum. Yeah, I wanted to go to Bonnaroo this year, but at the same time I didn't want to go. I went the first year Radiohead headlined the festival, it was fun, but there were SO many people. Plus is was fucking 800 degrees outside, and difficult to shower. Oh well, it was expected. Great weed though.

TN here... Memphis. Didn't go to 'roo, no $ and it's a 8-10 hour drive. But some of my friends did. They always come back with Bonnaroo Lung- coughing up dust for days. One friend said there was much less weed smokin' this year; the cops really cracked down at the checkpoints this time.

Haha Bonnaroo used to be such a phish fan, dead touring, jam lovin' sort of affair.
I think it changed though a couple years when radiohead and such bands played there which I must admit is way better than the shit that normally performed there.
