He Meant To Do That
M. Night Shamalamamama's latest piece of cinematic caca is getting the kind of reviews that would even make flop-queen Nicole Kidman weep. I actually wanted to see "The Happening," but then I accidentally read what the "natural disaster" in the movie is. I'm sorry, but I've coughed up loogies that sound more terrifying than this shit. Count me the fuck out.
M. Night claims he did this mess on purpose. He sought out to make a B-Movie. He told Reuters, "I wanted it to be a fantastic, fun B-movie. The No. 1 thing is I want people to say: 'That was a really fun B-movie."
B-movie? Does B stand for bullshit? On second thought, maybe I'll sit through this crap and bring my best friend, Grey Goose, along for the ride. When I went to see "The Village," I got drunk like a Tara Reid during the movie and I've never laughed so much in my life. Everyone in the theater wanted to do murder times to me, but who gives a fuck?

My friend and I were laughing through the whole movie because we couldn't really believe how utterly terrible it was. And the guy next to me told us to 'stp laughing' or he was going to tell on us.
Seriously, I don't know how everyone wasn't laughing.

I'm joining you in the sighing. Wasn't he the most incredibly beautiful man? The beach is Coogee Beach in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, where I grew up. Smoked my first ciggie there!! (But gave it up a few years later, thankfully)

Thank you. I love the way I got to that one sentence and instantly fell asleep. I can't wait to miss this one. I don't want a reverse of Thursday night...
On Thurs. I watched "Signs" and after a while it started getting to me so I had to repeat to myself, over and over: "Mel Gibson is not a nice man, Mel Gibson is not a nice man..." because I could feel the radioactive waves in my brain forcing me to think otherwise!
I don't know if I could go through that, backwards, with Marky and Zooey. It could get ugly is all...

I don't really care for m.night you know the rest movies, not b/c they are so terrible per say, but i am always disappointed. Not to mention I don't know why everyone was so blown away by the 6th sense, me and my friend new that bruce was dead within the first half hour. the only thing good about signs was joaquin, the village again joaquin but that movie uuuugggghhhh, uuuuuuggggghhhhh and i was by myself. idk why i feel the need to keep going on, he overdoes his movies by trying way to hard to make them genius not that writing screenplays aren't difficult, but boo,
alright that's enough from me

All I can say is the The Village sucked and if this is anywhere near that bad or worse, I feel a beating is in order for M.Knight. Actually after seeing The Village, I wanted to be beaten for having spent money on that dog!
After the Sixth Sense his jig was up, but he doesn't realize it. You can't do that extreme twist no one saw coming over and over again.
Besides, The Village had more than a little of a Twilight Zone episode called A Hundred Yards Over the Rim with Cliff Robertson, and done better there.
I think M. Night Shammalammadingdong is derivative and tiresome.

Apparently M. Night S. is one of the biggest, most arrogant, egotistical assholes you could ever meet. I think there's a book about it.
Someone who chooses to go by "M. Night"?? I cannot believe it.
I saw this movie last night...and it was so, so bad that I left the movie thinking that the theater must have forgotten to play the end...but no, the movie itself has no ending.
I was really into for about the first 45 minutes, and then entire movie theater lost power. That was probably the most entertaining part of the movie...when everyone in the theater believed for a split second that "oh shit, its happening!". It reminded me of 28 Days later, minus any storyline to follow. A guy lays down and gets run over by a lawn mower, so that was kind of awesome.

You better not let Mariah see your avie. She will simply die. And OMG?!?! $20 for a movie? I'll wait for the bootleg DVD that someone shoots in the theater for that price. Gotta love those.
I saw this last night. It was by far the worst movie I've seen in a long time. The acting was terrible, the dialog was horrendous, the plot was laid out 15 minutes in, and there was no twist.
For my $20, I don't want no 'I'm so artsy I made a B movie on purpose' shit. I want a movie that at least pretends to be worth my $20.

Exactly!!! He had one or two good movies, and he knew everyone expected great things from him. He just couldn't deliver. And I liked Signs only because I love that effin asshole Joaquin Phoenix. I don't know why. I'm sort of an alcoholic too, so I guess I can relate to his assholery
I saw some new privacy news about them on site ----"AffluentBachelors.com"-------Maybe it
will have heavy influence on us. Just care.

I liked the village. I did figure out the secret and a few other things way ahead of the reveal. I thought you were supposed to be able to?
When I saw the trailer for this movie I thought: "That crap looks like Signs" and go figure, another M. Night Shitamalan movie...
To me this guy is a one hit wonder, The Sixth Sense was fantastic, Unbreakable was disappointing and Signs is with out of doubt one of the worst movies I´ve ever seen!!! The course of events, the dialogue, characters and especially the "funny momments" were horrifying, and not in a good way. I gave The Village a shot but fell asleep over it and wont waste my time watching the rest. Nor any other M.N.S. movie.

MK, Love ya Love ya still L'in O L.
Look, I went to the movies drunk to see White Chicks, and I loved it...So I bought when it came out on dvd. Yeah, not as great as I remembered. And MNS (I think) kinda peaked early in his career. I don't know how long he's been around really, but it's hard to live up to some of his first movies. It's like he tries to hard. At least he admits he's trying for a B movie. Those are some of my faves though. You always need a good B horror movie to laugh at. Birds (the original) anyone? lol
MK is up early today! Morning, sluts!
I still wanna see this movie. I like his stuff, but that's me.

It was downhill after The Sixth Sense.
The Village I had figured out the "twist" about 20 minutes into it and had to sit there, bored to tears, waiting for the people in the movie to figure it out.
I agree, alcohol is a nice addition to most any movie-going experience.
Unless it is 1991, and the movie is The Doors. Then it's shrooms all the way, baby.

Sometimes watching movies drunk is a necessity.
Many years ago I went to see Bram Stoker's Dracula. It was opening night at a midnight showing. The movie was packed with drunken sluts. At the end of the movie one of these hot sluts shouted out.
"I don't understand this damned movie! I didn't see no Dracula. All I seen was two lesbians fisting a bear!" THAT brought the house down and made the movie memorable for me. I just wish I had what homeboy was drinking!

I also like MNS's movies. I thought that The Village was stupid, but most of his movies are entertaining and imaginative. However, I think that bringing booze to the movie theater is a great idea, I might just do that.
There is a movie theater here that serves beer and wine. The key is going to the early shows because they stop serving half way through the last show. That's what cabs are for.

Definitely go see it, if you like his stuff. I was bored through his last few films and found myself wandering the candy counter and stepping out for a couple smokes during them. Not paying the eleven bucks this time around to wait for everyone to sit through it to get to the bar afterwards. I'll just skip it and meet them there!

Don't worry, it's a thinking man's game.
I wanted to see it after I saw the trailers, because it looked so scary, but they say sometimes the best moments are all in the trailer, and this time it looks like it was true. Can Shamalan make a movie that is not pompous and absurd?

I really wanted to see this movie, but now I'm not completely sure. Of course, I loved House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects. It's more fun to like a movie that not everyone likes and gets. At least we won't hear people using stupid phrases from it...Vote for Pedro for example ugh
I like M. Night's style in movies. I didn't like Ther Village but I liked Lady in the Water and Signs.I'm not going to not watch a movie because someone else doesn't like it. Thats stupid. It is. I'm seeing this tonight anyway. And yeah you CAN make a movie a B-movie on purpose. Quentin Tarantino made Death Proof to be like a grindhouse film, a film not many back in the day liked. so when his film didn't make much money, people called it a flop but that means he did it right.

Pretty sure I'd rather sit through a movie about MK being a drunken slut, than this thing. The most shocking thing about Night's movies are how unshocking the ending always is, imo.
