Kanye West Likes To Make Videos
Kanye West has put out a second video for "Flashing Lights" and it gave my headache a headache. I already have a massive hangover and all these moving pictures are not helping. Damn. I need another drink.
The video is like a European Ross Dress For Less commercial. I don't think Europe has Ross, but if they did, this would be the commercial. Well, they would have to cut out the part where the chick gets mugged and assaulted.
I still prefer Kanye's first video of this song. I thoroughly enjoy watching jiggly booty and hot bitches beating ass.

People are sometimes too simple minded to see the "forest for the trees" (or whatever the quote may be. my dyslexia and alcohol fueled brain isn't working all that well). anyway, it is never that simple. Sometimes you have to be objective and think beyond the "it's just a video" ideology...I think although the first one was great and had more of a mystery to it. This video is also sending a clear message as Gigi was able to point out, however sarcastically...LOL

That has to be the cheapest video I have ever seen! Its even cheaper than the British music videos and my goodness they look cheap! I loved kanye's album and his tour is apparently amazing, but sometimes he just does dumb dumb things and this is one of them.
The girl looked like a total whore in the video, why is she nearly naked for no reason throughout the whole video? Every few seconds they had to show her unclothed and it has nothing to do with the storyline- so pathetic. I don't understand these whores who are willing to degrade themselves just to be in a music video. Didn't feel sorry for her when she got raped because she looked like a total hoebag.

I agree with whoever said Pink Floyd was the shit when it came to shows, but I do prefer performers who try. First time I saw him in Stockholm a few years back it was just him on stage, which works, but is a tad boring. Saw the glow in the dark tour in London last year, and it was a huge improvement. Although hip hop is dead, props to Kanye for giving it CPR - shame his ego overshadows his talent.

no no, you are totally right... but no one else has tried to experiment, and use a show as something more than a platform to flash their guns and bling in hip hop that i know of...
kanye's show, i am sure is nothing like pink floyds... or flaming lips... amazing shows that cannot be merely described by the word 'concert', these things have been happening in the rock scene for decades.. but at least kanye's trying to start a positive trend for hip hop... and sees his show as an art form, and more than just some magnified club performance (though he may not have necessarily accomplished it - i can't say as i haven't seen it)

I totally agree ESE, the whole hip hop genre overall can sometimes leave a little to be desired, to say the least. Growing up the only contemp. music I listened to was hip hop so I understand the genre, so I can give him his kudos, but it is bordering on that whole concept of calling a celeb likeable because you haven't seen her snatch. The standards are so low that even mediocrity is to be admired.
