Good for them. I always fail to see what the problem is. They're not throwing off the natural balance, because there are plenty of childless people out there to balance things out. That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about. I just had my 1st baby 3 months ago (and I got a late start, cuz I'm old) and my doc asked if I planned on having anymore. I said "maybe". She said that even though I'm in my 30's, that I need to wait at least 2 years before getting preggers again to allow nutrients needed for a healthy baby AND healthy mother, and she put my azz on the pill! That Duggar lady's teeth are gonna fall out!

I love that show. I think that Kate is hilarous when she gets worked up and snaps at Jon. He just kind of rolls his eyes at her and is like OK whatever...

I don't see what the problem is here...none of these children are hoodlums roaming the ghetto or trailor park...they don't receive welfare, and that house they built, from what I understand, the father and the boys helped build it where ever they could to save on the cost of building it. They have a lot of "second hand" things...like the stove etc (I saw that on a show somewhere) They make their own clothes. As far as the older sibling helping with the raising of the little ones, that's how a lot of our parent/grandparents were raised also. Your a family and you help out in your family...

Now would I live like that and have umpteen thousand kids? Hell no! But I don't have a problem with someone else, that's not using my tax dollars, wanting to live like that either..

I might get some hate responses on this one, but I have to agree with those who asked where they get all their money. I know the dad works in real estate, but they CLEARLY live in a multi million dollar house and she doesn't work, not to mention all those instruments and other 'perks' they have in the house. It's kind of messed up if they live off of donations; if she would close her legs for 2 seconds she wouldn't have all those kids. I could understand if they had fertility problems and were one of those couples who end up with quints or something, but this is a bit much.
