From what I've heard they can be absorbed anywhere up to 10 weeks or something like that, but by 4 months or so, they already have bones that are of a somewhat significant size. My friend had IVF after a year and God knows how much money, the last treamtment finally worked, was initially pregnant with twins (implanted with 8) but one of the twin fetus died (around month 3/4) and they didn't remove it.
