Not James Garner!
James Garner underwent surgery this week after suffering a minor stroke. His rep told Reuters that 80-year-old James is currently recovering at a Los Angeles-area hospital. James underwent surgery on Sunday and he's concious and responsive. His rep said he will hopefully be released soon, but she didn't have anymore details on his stroke.

I had a bit of a crush on Jim Rockford when I was little, and then 16, 17 years ago (can't believe it's been that long!), when I was a young waitress in Hollywood, I had the great pleasure of waiting on and chatting with Mr. Garner, and he was such a nice and gracious man. I waited on several celebs back then, and he was my favorite. Get well soon, James Garner!

Maverick! James Garner was one of my Dad's top favorite heroes. I lost my Dad three years ago. If James Garner dies I will feel like my Dad died again. This is a sad day.

I watched Murphy's Romance again the other night with Garner and Sally Field. He's such a charmer.
