Zahara Is Over It
Angie Jo brought Shiloh out of her golden tower for a few hours of shopping in Monaco. Angie likes to remind Shiloh how us peons live. Shiloh usually spends her days sleeping on a gold throne and bathing in ice milk. That's how she keeps her hair so golden. Duh!
Zahara can't believe she has to walk and she's over it. She would rather be home finishing her hair and painting her toe nails.
Oh and what's with all the black? How goth of them.

Yeah, his 'obsession' was always stand up comedy. Memorizing comedian's routines, etc. Majored in theater arts in city college but doubt he will be able to get gainful employment from it. Too bad that. I wish he had friends because that would help him learn proper behavior in public.
Honestly, I think alot of his 'problems' are less the Aspies and more how he was raised. (Spoiled, pampered, mamma's boy, never any responsibility, etc.)

He was diagnosed at 14. He really stuggles socially. I wish he could have had some behavior therapy or something earlier because now it's going to hold him back in life. Just getting through a job interview will be hard. He tends to have odd 'tics', mannerisms, voice, etc that would put people off. He has rejected the diagnosis but is classic case. (sigh)

I do too, when it comes to job interviews. I started practicing looking people in the face, if I can't look at them in the eye. That's helped a lot.
You see when I was a kid, they tried to diagnose me with all kinds of shit.I was always being tested for something. My mother finally realized she didn't want to label me and she just left me as is and figured that whatever my difficulties in life were, she and my family would help me get through it and work on it. I still do thinks repetitively, like reading books over and over (they're damn good books!) and every time I listen to my iPod I'm always listening to some song or other is always on repeat. Some have suggested I stop that, but I don't see any harm in it, and if I like the damn song I'm gonna listen to it! Let's just say I am getting my money's worth from iTunes.

A therapist said that I had all the signs of it and she called that a diagnosis. I decided not to pursue it any further. I figured if your shrink said such, you were diagnosed. I should have told you I wasn't officially diagnosed. I don't think...

Frito, I have 22 yo stepson with Asperger's. I have million questions for you but would you be kind enough to answer couple? At what age were you diagnosed and did you have help learning to socialize, etc? If you work, how has Aspie's been on the job? Does your employer know?

I was about 20 when I was diagnosed.
I sort of figured things out for myself when learning to socialize, like what worked best. I'm still working on some things.
I've worked on and off. When I was younger I worked for my parents, but the employers that I worked for knew, they sort of guessed really I didn't have to tell them anything. It hasn't really had a negative impact on the job, but that might change, I might have problems later on. Who knows?

Wow all these fights on the AJ-related threads, and it always seems to be "LoveAngelina" in the middle of it. Isn't she 18 or something? That might explain it. I'll be 50 in August and I just franjkly don't give a shit if someone on the internet does or does not like Angelina Jolie, and/or doesn't agree with me. Who cares? That being said---- Well, I'll say this much and be done on this thread, because as I've said before, you can't talk people into agreeing with you, it's a waste of time, and insulting them for not agreeing with you is also a waste of time.
I will say that I like Angelina Jolie as well as I can like someone I've never met - she's gorgeous (although too skinny these days), is a good actress (usually, she's has her flubs) and is a very sexy woman, and she donates a very large portion of her income to charity. I am sure these kids she "buys" are well-taken care of, and I am so tired of the whole "What does Jen think" bullshit, The marriage with Brad and Jennifer broke up at least 3 years ago, and again, I like Brad and Jennifer as much as I can like two people I've never met, so I am not taking sides on the breakup of the marriage. We can't really know what happened, we are just spectators.
Oh sorry! Point is: Jesus fucking christ! No matter WHOSE side you were on, or are still on, Brad and Jen broke up years ago, I am sure everyone has moved on from it now, except the press, and if they haven't, they need to get e fucking LIFE!
